This was our second stay at the Comfort Inn in the past 2 years. It is one of the best managed hotels I've ever seen -- there are always several helpful, friendly people behind the desk, very clean rooms, nice breakfast area, big comfortable lobby. They also have wireless internet access from the lobby. It's walking distance to almost everything -- the falls, both casinos, restaurants, other tourist attractions. Even though Clifton Hill is a noisy, crowded area, the hotel itself is quiet with plenty of free parking. Look for the deals through the casino -- we had a great room rate which also included $10/day per person from the casino. It's not the Marriott or the Hilton but it's very comfortable at a fraction of the cost. We will definitely be back!

I would highly recommend this hotel. You were right in the middle of all the excitement of the Falls with easy access to everything. But yet far enough for quiet and comfort. The staff was wonderful, cheery and friendly. Rooms were very clean. Parking was free. The indoor pool was clean and perfect for relaxation after walking all day. The free continental breakfast had a wide variety and was constantly being replenished. If I was to go back this is where I would stay without a doubt. I would also recommend the restaurants, Boston Pizza and Montana's. Both within a block walk.

This was a wonderful place to stay and the six of us that travelled together all agreed! We had 3 rooms, that were very clean and well equipt with everything. The free continental breakfast was excellent with a great variety. The location was next to none, if you want to be in the heart of the action on Clifton Hill! The staff were very courteous and helpful when needed. This is going to be a place where we will definetly return to as we plan on making Niagara Falls a yearly trip.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn / Ontario over the 4th of July weekend. It was reasonably priced and within walking distance of all of the major attractions. Every single person that I encountered at the desk was smiling and helpful. They answered questions, looked things up for us, and 1 person was even willing to take a picture of my husband and I with our camera in the lobby. It isn't a fancy hotel by any means, but it was clean and comfortable. The customer service was awesome. Maids were also friendly. The continental breakfast was one of the best and came with the price of the room. Bagels, all kinds of muffins, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, etc. All of the attractions at Niagara were very pricy. We spent $88.00 at Rain Forest Cafe for 2 people and the meal was mediocre. But all in all, we had a really great time. This hotel was set back a little bit but yet was within 5 minutes walking distance of everything. Because it was set back a little bit, it was very quiet inside. You would never know there was hustle and bustle going on outside, and believe me...there was. I would recommend this hotel and would probably stay there again.

This older property is "nestled" in the heart of the carnival like atmosphere of Clifton Hill. In this case "older" is better because of the solid construction you are fairly sheltered from the outside.

Courteous and efficient staff; nice size indoor pool; spacious room; very clean and properly maintained; kids focused outside pool; and a moderate continental free breakfast that is very popular make up the main points. Note, the section with multi floor rooms does not have an elevator. You don't want to have to drive to the area from a slightly cheaper hotel a few miles away. The traffic is a bear and there seems to be little evidence of uniformed constabulary. All the major Falls attractions are walkable. We liked the hotel, but were disappointed with the carnival/arcade surrounding environment. It's not the Niagra your parents went for a romantic getaway! That being said, travel 40 minutes north to Niagra on the Lake and sitting in the midst of small wineries and upscale communities is the town center filled with artsy crafty shops and upscale offerings. Try one of the historic hotel dining rooms for lunch, or take a carriage ride, or just window shop and relax.

Just got back from a trip to Niagara Falls, Canada and stayed at the Comfort Inn on Clifton Hill. Let me break it down into pros and cons:
Pros:
Reasonable price for Clifton Hill area
Very clean
Friendliest staff ever
Really nice continental breakfast
Decent pool and whirlpool
Cons:
LOUD, LOUD, LOUD!
Don't expect to get any sleep at all. There are many night clubs near this area with booming music until about 2am. Then, trucks emptied the trash and made deliveries from about 4am-6am right underneath us. Earplugs didn't even work! If you are a light sleeper...I would not suggest staying here. If you're not...go for it!
Also on a side note:
Clifton Hill is the most expensive place I have ever been to in my life including Disney World! It also took us 2 and 1/2 hours to get back into the US through customs!!! I will never go to Canada again!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill for the first night of our stay. It was in a great location. In the middle of the bustling Clifton Hill area, but it sat back from the street and was very quiet. We had a garden view room with 2 queen beds. The room was quite large and roomy. It was only a few minutes walk down the hill (the hill was an easy walk) to the American Falls and the Maid of the Mist plaza. There are many restaurants nearby and it's accessible to everything. The continental breakfast had quite a variety as others have mentioned: fresh fruit salad, hot and cold cereals, croissants, muffins, bagels, fruit pastries, toast, juice, coffee, and milk. The breakfast room was large and overlooked the pool. The hotel also offers free parking in a monitored lot. We felt very safe and would definitely stay here again. We booked for $129, the best price I could find.

We (family with 5yr old) stayed at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill over the Canada Day weekend. I have to say when we first arrived things went smoothly and everyone we dealt with was very nice. The location is nice and central to the Clifton Hill area. It's nice to be able to park your vehicle and not move it unless you really want to go outside the main areas BUT it is VERY noisy! We have stayed in many places in Niagara Falls and found this hotel to be about average. The rooms were small, adequate and fairly clean but in need of some updating. There aren't any elevators so be prepared to haul your luggage up a cpl flights of stairs if you don't have a ground floor room. As stated, it is a noisy area so if you want some peace and quiet, you don't want to stay here. The prices were a bit much for what you get. I would rate the hotel as :"just ok" and would not stay here again. Just not for us.

I was very impressed with this hotel.
Check in was a breeze. The room we requested was very nice and CLEAN. The beds were decent for a hotel and the maid service was excellent.
The pool and hot tub area of the hotel was very nice and the next time I go I will request a room overlooking the pool. This should be a must for any one traveling with children. They have nice areas outside of the room to sit and enjoy the pool.
The free breakfast was top notch. Different things to choose from and always well stocked.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Walk to the Falls, the Casino, restaurants and family activities. Also you can park there for FREE which is a big deal in Niagara.
The area this hotel is in is very family oriented. I do not have children but if I did this is the place to stay. On the same note as a couple in our late 20's this hotel was perfect for us too. We walked to the casino and plenty of great restaurants.
This is a great hotel for an inexpensive vacation. If we are in back in the Niagara area we'll be staying here.

We just completed a two-night stay at the Clifton Hills Comfort Inn. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Check in and check out was smooth. The complimentary breakfast was simple juice, coffee, bagels, muffins, danish but it was well stocked and good. The pool area was clean, towels were provided, and a lifeguard was on duty. Some rooms faced the pool courtyard which would be convenient for watching your kids -- but might be a bit noisy (pool was open till 11pm).
The room we stayed in was quite small and very basic. I don't think I'd want to stay there more than 2-nights. The hotel is within walking distance of all the Clifton Hills attractions, resturants, shops, and The Falls.
I would recommend this hotel for families w/kids who will enjoy the Clifton Hills attractions. Our price for 2-nights (Friday/Saturday) was $269

Just like all the other reviews, this place was great. The value can't be beat. We were right in the middle of the entertainment district and I was surprised how short the walk was to the American falls. There was no elevator, but since we're young (early 30's) and spent all day walking around anyway, it wasn't a big deal. I saw some
complaints about noise, but our room was nice and quiet and starting the day with a free breakfast in an expensive city is an added bonus.
I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who asks!
Again, great price, great location, free parking and free breakfast.
I can't imagine paying two or three times as much (plus $20 parking) to stay at some of the other places.

We stayed at the Confort Inn on Friday the 27th of August. When we arrived we were pleased to see that the Inn was in the center of all the action, but provided a large parking lot. Our room was not ready when we arrived because we were early, but the front desk told us to go ahead and put our things in it anyway. They told us we could use all the facilities which included a great indoor swimming pool. The room itself was a good size and was super clean. The complimentary breakfast in the morning had the widest selection of any continental breakfast I've been to and there was an abundance of food. If you have children you might try to reserve a room poolside. These rooms are excellent you can watch your children swim from you room deck. Just a note: I found I was given a cheaper rate when booking the hotel directly than on the internet. There are also surcharges if you book over the net.
