Very nice decorations. Looks kind of shabby from the outside, but the rooms are pretty and clean when you get inside. Staff very friendly. Would stay there again. Great for a short weekend trip for couples. Pool was small-not good for children. About a 5-6 minute walk to the casino--about 9 or 10 to the falls.

We've been to Niagara Falls many time. We saw an ad for this Days Inn that said "new hotel". Well, it's not, it's just a new name and a cheap renovation of an old motel. And it said close to the Falls. It's not, it was a long walk. And it said close to the casino. Not too bad for that. Also said it included a hot breakfast, and that part was true, and the breakfast was excellent. It was next door at Perkins.
OK, once all the lies were out of the way, it was fair. Because it was brand new renovation everything was clean and in good condition. Room was good size with two beds, table and chairs, TV, and several dresser drawers. Bathroom was VERY small. Don't try to get two people in there. And it did not have a vanity sink, so you had to leave all your toiletries in the main room. Now how long has it been since you stayed in a hotel without a vanity sink? I can't even remember, yet this new place doesn't have one.
The towels and wash cloths were horrid. They were small, thin, and stiff. And here is the worst part - I grabbed a bath towel as I got out of the shower, and it was lots of big brown stains on it. What was it? I didn't study it long enough to find out. Now wouldn't the laundry room see that and throw away that towel?

The outdoor heated pool was wonderful. It was very warm, and went to about 6 1/2 feet. A great pool. But they only had two loungers for the whole pool. And several plastic chairs. I guess for kids they wouldn't care, but we wanted to lay out in the sun for a while. So instead we sat on a chair.
I would not stay here again.

I entered this web sight to see the review my son had written after our most recent stay at the Vacation Inn. I was so upset with one of the reviews I read that I decided I had to write my own. We vacation in Niagara 1-2 times a year and had stayed at several well known hotels before we noticed the Vacation Inn's ad in our AAA magazine. The price looked great and we decided to give it a try. We have never regreted our decision and here we are over five years and numerous visits later always looking forward to our next stay.
The inn is located on the less "crazy" side of town. You are close enough to be within walking distance of the Falls and new casino or short cab ride and about a mile walk (we've done this on nice days) from all the tourist attractions. Yet you are away from all the "craziness" and "hustle and bustle" of thousands of tourists who line the streets going to these attractions.
It is an older facility with an owner and staff that still know how to treat their patrons like family staying in their home. The Inn's rooms are large, clean, and contain everything you need to make your stay comfortable. They may not have all the "fancy little extras" some chains offer, but the warmth, friendliness, and assistance offered daily by the staff more that make up for the little bottles of shampoo, etc., that most of us never use anyway. (By the way the Holiday Inn is now no longer offering these little extras. They are placing a dispenser with shampoo and shower gel in the tub area to cut costs.)
The restaurant located right beside the Inn, and the one included in packages, is excellent. The breakfasts and "full American" style(or lighter if you choose), not the "continential" style offered elsewhere. Dinners offer a variety of meats, pasta, and fish. We have never had a bad meal. The dining room is spotless and has the atmosphere of a fine dining establishment.
I would recommend this Inn to everyone.

The staff was very friendly as soon as we walked in and, trust me after the long journey driving there and breaking down on the throughway to boot, it was very hard to even crack a smile however, they managed and we felt welcome right away. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were extremely pleasant through- out the remainder of our stay. The rooms are simple but decent. I would have been a little happier if they had some decent pillows and the maid staff cleaned the room before 3pm everyday but, for the price and the free meals with the package and of course the excellent service i would recommend this hotel. with the money we saved on accomodations and breakfast/dinners we also did the whirlpool jet boat ride which was absolutely fantastic. All things considered this vaction was top notch.

I thought the inn was overall a good inn. There was no elevator, you had to pay for the ice, and there was only enough towels for 2 people to shower once a day. I think there is room for improvement. In relation to the falls it's 2 blocks away, and the cost was quite reasonable. There was a tram at a casion just 2 blocks away that took you into the tourist section (and the tram was free), that was a great thing. I just think they shouldn't charge you for ice, that there should be more towels (some of us like to take 2 showers if we sweat during the day) and the elevator would be nice if you have the 2nd or 3rd floor (hard to lug up suitcases to these floors).

Rooms are very small, have no view out the front. Window overlooks the back door steps of the convention center. Went down three times for ice, both evening and early morning and there was no ice. Was going to grab a cup of coffee at 5:30 in the morning and was told by the desk clerk that it was from midnight, the night before, and fresh coffee would not be available until 6:00 AM. A large, noisy window air-conditioner installed in the wall provides some cooling. Building is very old. Sheets are stiff like paper and "crinkle" as you move in the bed.

Great location and service, we got a packaged deal for $225.00 (US) and for that we got the room for 2 nights, breakfast for 2 days and dinner for 1 night. And it was very tasty. The hotel staff was friendly. The pool was small, but we walked at night to Clifton Hills, which was right down the street as well as maid of the midst. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again!

What a pleasure it was to stay here. We were somewhat leery because of the low cost and lack of reviews on this Inn, but pleasantly surprised to find that it is a well kept, clean, safe, smoke free, and friendly environment located in the Fallsview district. We were in walking distance of most major attractions. Parking was free. This is a low rise hotel and you can not see the falls from your room as in the much higher priced hotels. So, walk to the falls and bring your own iron. The money you save is well worth it. The room comes with 1 free dinner and 2 breakfasts for two. The restaurant is right next door. The food was good and the restaurant clean and friendly. We will definately stay there again.
