We went to the Hilton In March 2005-
I will give you strait forward what you will like and dislike about this...The check-in time isn't until 4:00pm and no sooner, yet checkout is 11:00a.m. It "is" the hotel with the "Best" view of the falls by all means and appears to be the largest and tallest. Skylong tower is right across the street and the newer casino is at your front door. (yet they only have $25 tables) the older casino at the bottom of Clifton Hill (where the attractions are) has $5 tables and it is bigger and much nicer.
ATTRACTIONS WALK: If you want to walk to the main road where the rides, attractions, and falls are, ask someone by the skylon tower to show you the shortcut behind the tower parking lot or you'll be walking forEVER!! It is only about 15 minutes if you're sober :) ANYWHERE you go trys to charge you for parking and its really just not worth it, because its not that far.
PARKING: Don't let the Hilton trick you into paying their $20 a day parking fee and DO NOT LET THEM VALET you if you want to save about $100. It is FREE to park at the casino in front of the hotel as long as you go in and ask for a "Player's Card." The card is free, and you don't have to spend or gamble to get it, but it is your free parking pass.
THE HILTON ITSELF:
If you are expecting to go to the indoor pool, expect a million kids. The pool never ever stays un-busy with children. It's pretty and all, and it has waterfalls in the pool, but it is way over packed. The service is great, if you get a jacuzzi suite, you have to call the maids to give you bubbles because they don't stock the room with them. The Blue Martini Bar at the top floor, is really pretty, and the prices are about average for a higher class bar. I got the ice-cream there because I was drunk and craving it...Let me just say "IT Was the best I've ever had" well worth it. The HILTON REstaurant on the other hand, we Opted not to eat at. The Menu Prices were $40-$50 per Plate and no less, and there are soo many good famous restaurants for Cheaper on the strip. The pictures of the rooms on the internet, are very misleading because the room in general is actually pretty small, and the bedding is not all white like the pictures show. Ours was an ugly green, but those Beds WERE sooooo COMfortable, it was amazing. The falls are in great view, but the internet picture makes them appear literally an inch from your window. They are about a quarter of a mile away, but they are still VERY VERY visible and beautiful at night with the light show from 8-10pm.

Upon arriving at the hotel, if you are doing valet parking, good luck waiting to get close to the door. The wait was about 5 minutes to get to the hotel door. The process of checking in continued the wait.
The hotel has an indoor pool with 3 story slide. If you are taking children, watch them-no matter the age. The lifeguards were more intent on talking with each other and not watching the pool and/or those coming off the slide. After watching staff for 1/2 hour, I spoke with a hotel manager regarding safety and risk concerns. To get to the fitness center, we climbed the wet stairs from the pool area. You have a view of the pool area as you work out. I again watched the lifeguards (same ones from the previous day) continue their ways and not watch those in the pool.
The restaurant on the top floor provides a nice location to watch the fireworks. The prices are expensive, especially when there are other nice locations near by at far more reasonable prices. Staff at the restaurant was not responsive and seemed flustered when they had more than a few tables to either wait on or bus. My son experienced food poisioning from the dinner, so this added with the prices, wasn't a pleasant experience. Do not try to do anything "extra" for a birthday, they'll simply charge you. I'm sorry but $10 for a piece of cake is ridiculous.
The beds were comfortable. We didn't hear any hall or street noise. We did experience problems with getting the bathtub to drain.

Nice, clean hotel; pool was very interesting! King suite w/ jacuzzi falls view room was very nice. The jacuzzi tub was great. Dining room on top floor was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was very good. The Hilton photo is deceiving though--there is a new casino and hotel (looks nice and perfect location) right across the street from the Hilton, and that is really what you see. And hear. Though the Hilton location is between the Horseshoe and American falls, other hotels slightly toward the Horseshoe Falls seem to be a bit closer with a better view (though I did not go there to check this out). And when you reserve your room, you'll get a total with tax, but this is NOT the total--they charge $20/day parking and tell you AFTER you are confirmed.

Our gloomy room had a terrible odour and there were no Falls in site. The quality of the air in the room was very poor and the window didn't open. In the bathroom, the fan made an incredible noise. Won't stay at this hotel again.

Its been awhile but stayed at the Hilton with my boyfriend Feb 2006. Stayed for 2 nights (got one of the package deals). Had a falls view room (was beautiful) casio was right infront but could still get a nice view of the falls. My only major complaint was that we got one of the rooms with the jacuzzi's in it. The doors/shutters that separate the bathroom from the bedroom didn't give you much privacy, there was a bit of a cap where the shutter's closed together making it easily to see into the bathroom and.. you could hear everything. Me and my boyfriend are pretty comfortable around each other since we've been together for 7 years but when it comes to bathroom busniess its nice to have privacy. We ended up putting up a big blanket over the shutter's so you could'nt see in.
Got up for the buffet in the morning both days which was on the top floor, loved the food, lots to choose from and the view was BEAUTIFUL!!! they sat us right by the window in a little corner. Had a coupon for dinner at the hotel restaurtant but checked out the menu and the prices were way too expensive, our voucher would have only taken off less then half of the bill, ended up eatting else where. The hotel as a little indoor walkway to the casino across the street, enjoyed that since it was freezing outside. Other than the prices of the restaurant for dinner and the bathroom shutter, had a really good time, would go back just wouldn't get the jacuzzi suite.

The hotel was beautiful and had everything you could possibly want. We were within walking distance of a casino, restaraunts and shopping. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the parking situation, they have valet parking or lots but the lot was full and we had to park across the street behind the hotel - not horrible just inconvenient with luggage. The view of the falls from our room was breath-taking!

My boyfriend and I went to the Hilton for a little escape and had a phenominal time. We booked through the Fallsview Hilton Website and took the Two Night Getaway. You can't beat the value! We took the King Suite which said we would be placed on floor 15-22. I called the day of our arrival and asked if we could have a room on the 22nd floor, they didn't have anything available but offered us a room on the 25th no additional charge. Our room was amazing: big and spacious and the bed was soooo comfortable. The view was great we could see both the Canadian and US Falls, yes the Fallsview Hotel is smack in the middle but does not interfer with your view and actually looks really nice at night since it's all lit up. The breakfast that was offered was terrific lots of choice and very good. You receive a dinner voucher for $75 my only complain was the selection of the food on the dinner menue and the over priced drinks! Make sure you hit the pool it's great and the slide is a ton of fun. I would definatly recommend this hotel. It's a great value and a wonderful hotel.

We loved this hotel! It was very clean and tidy! Loved the bathroom jacuzzi tub that had french doors that opened to the bedroom area. You have to pay 25.00 to park your car...and room service was $$$. Denny's next door is outrageously expensive as was Applebys. Beds are very comfortable here! This hotel was very quiet too! I didnt hear a sound in the hallway or neighboring rooms all night! We were on the 10th floor with a view of the Casino! Great experience at this hotel..Would stay here again!!

We stayed one night at the Hilton Niagara Falls Fallsview to celebrate our anniversary. We made the reservations on the telephone with the hotel reservations desk. The lady we spoke to was really nice and helpful. Because we are Hilton Honors Members, she upgraded us to a larger corner King Jacuzzi room with a fabulous view of the American Falls, and a partial view of the Canadian falls.
We arrived at around 4:30 to check in. Check in time is 4:00, so our room was ready right away. The guy at the front desk did his job and was to the point. Not overly friendly, not a single smile. We asked for a high floor room, and he offered us the 14th floor. I didn't think that was really high, but if you're in the north tower, as we were, there's only 15 floors.
We did have a lovely king bed jacuzzi suite overlooking the american falls, with the Casino directly in front of us and the Canadian falls to the right. The room was in the corner, so it was nice and quiet, although with the vending and ice machines right beside us, they did offer us a continuous humming noise. The bathroom was large with a glass enclosed corner shower and a hand held shower head. There was a singe vanity with the coffee maker, and tolietries from Crabtree and Evelyn. The large 2 person jacuzzi was placed right beside these frosted glass folding doors which open up to the bedroom area. There are large mirrors on either end of the jacuzzi tub. We made use of the tub, but I did a personal cleaning job of it first (purge the motor in a filled tub, then empty it and fill it again). If you don't, you may find unwanted things, mainly other people's hair, floating in your bath water! The jets from the tub are really loud.
The sleeping area had a wonderfully comfortable king feather bed, with a feather duvet. They use 2 flat sheets to cover the duvet, so quite often, the sheets would separate and leave the duvet exposed. I wonder how often they wash the feather duvet??? The room came with 4 feather pillows, so we called up for 2 more. We like pillows to lie against while relaxing in bed to watch TV or what not. That took about 20 minutes or so for housekeeping to bring them up. There was a large cobweb in the corner of the room, and one of the drawers in the bed end table did not close. I was not impressed with the clock radio on the end table either. The volume control was broken, and it was left on LOUD! I couldn't fix the time (maybe I'm just technologically challenged, but I couldn't figure out how to fix the time...it was 5 minutes too fast). The armoire housed a small 27 inch television...there were some great movies (oldies but goodies) to enjoy. The view was fantastic.
We didn't put our swim wear on to enjoy the pool, but we did check it out. They have a fun looking slide, with lifegaurds on duty while it's in operation (it shuts down at 11:00 PM MonFri!). The pool was large, and they have a water fall area where you can go under and get pounded by falling water. The large hot tub looked relaxing too. The exercise room was small and had 5 machines I think, and a television set. There are lockers in the pool area, lots of loungers and lots of towels (don't bring your hotel room towels down). I think the arcade was up here too...both overlooking the pool. You have to climb many cement steps to go up to the slide, I don't know how slippery they are, as I had my shoes on. (You climb the same steps half way up to get to the exercise room).
We got The Globe and Mail newspaper in the morning, along with our bill. I resented the fact that they added a parking fee of $20 plus taxes to our bill. They never even asked if we had a car that we parked in their lot, they just assumed. We purposely chose the Hilton Fallsview because it has the covered walkway to the casino across the street. The walkway leads right into the covered parking garage of the casino on the 5th floor. We parked here over night for FREE! You need a casino Players Card, which is free, so it's a pretty good deal.
Our trip to Niagara was mainly to enjoy the casino, and some good food in the area (we walked to the Sheraton Fallsview which is 600 meters down the street to enjoy a great steak meal at A Cut Above, we found a coupon online to save on our bill too!).
The hotel was just a means to stay in the city to enjoy that aspect of our trip. Would I stay here again??? Maybe, for the right price. We did get a nice room for the price we paid. But the Renaissance right next door was just as good. It was cleaner too when we stayed there....

They lie to us about handicap accessible rooms. They do not have them. Made no attempt to do anything about it we were there 3 nights in Oct. 8-10th. For what I paid for a room or those 3 nights I am staying 7 nights in Vegas at New York New York and getting free breakfast, $20. in tokens. I will not go back, because of price of the room. I'll do my gambling in Vegas. I get a better deal.

We stayed in this hotel as part of our honeymoon. It is close to the falls, great location for the Casino. The room was great, what you would expect from a hilton. The only concerns are as follows
1. The bathroom screen is weird! I was glad I was staying with my wife, it would be awful if you were staying with a friend or as a family
2. The hotel valet parking is awful. They took 50 minutes to get our car. It was really unprofessional and tarnished the stay a little. If you are staying phone down for your car about an hour before you need it as they are really understaffed
On the whole a great hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Fallsview on the night of June 28 2006.
We had reserved a king jacuzzi casino view room for $169.00 but were upgraded to an American Fallsview/Casino view room on the 16th floor at no extra charge. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really beautiful and huge. Wewent to see the Marriot Fallsview ,the whirpool suite was just as nice but the view was absolutely incredible even from the 6th floor. This hotel is really the closest one to the falls and if you want to spend the extra money it's really great. All in all we enjoyed the Hilton!

The hotel and facilities were excellent. We stayed in a room with a hot-tub, and the room and bathroom were in great condition. The hotel's location was also very good (close to the falls), and the restaurant excellent. I didn't go into the pool, but it looked great. However, the hotel seemed unable to deal with the number of guests. The elevators were always full, and we had to stand in line for over 30 minutes in order to be served breakfast. If the breakfast hadn't been part of the package, I wouldn't have minded as much. Nevertheless, I have never waited (let alone 30 minutes) for breakfast at a 5 star hotel.

My wife and I stayed there for 4 days back in April. We originally requested a refrigerator in our room since we were brining lots of food with us. When we arrived, the front desk informed us that due to a large tour party, there were no refrigerators available. We told them that we have lots of perishable food, and they said they will see what they can do. Five minutes later, the phone rang in our room, and a fridge was promptly brought up and installed. Our stay could not have been more pleasurable. the place is beautiful and clean. The bathroom was spotless, and the jaccuzzi was as advertised. We highly reccomend this hotel.

The beds at this Hilton were extremely comfortable - I think I had a better sleep here than in my own bed at home!:)
Housekeeping was pretty good - I dont understand how people can complain about housekpeeing coming too early to the room to clean it for the day.........and then someone else comments about how its annoying that housekeeping comes by too late in the day. People should realize that these people have a lot of rooms to clean up throughout the day if it bothers you put your do not disturb sign up and take it down when you are done in your room and want them to clean it! Someone commented how it was unconvincing when hotel staff stated the housekeepers have a lot of rooms to clean - Im not sure where you've been lately, living under a rock perhaps?
The Hilton is a comfortable and nice stay I went with a few friends for a girls weekend getaway. The only complaints I have are that we got the casino package and were told once we got there that they "ran out of casino vouchers" so they gave us 10 dollars off our room rate instead. That's fine but how can you run out of casino vouchers?! It's right across the street? Someone obviously wasnt keeping tabs on the paperwork!
Another complaint I have is the shuttle bus was a few minutes late twice when we went to catch it! It's kind of annoying when you ask the hotel staff and each one gives you a different time as to when the shuttle bus is due to arrive for pick up and none of the times matched up to when the bus actually arrived!
It is a nice place to stay however, expensive..............but then again thats the Niagara Falls area!!

I stayed here June 14th. We were trying to get a Fallsview room but there were none left. We had booked a package that included pizza&wings, Imax, breakfast - when I asked if there was anything they could do to compensate since we couldn't cancel without full room charges. The manager gave 2 for 1 breakfast - NICE since it was included in our package!!! What did we get? Nothing.
My two children loved the pool (mind you they love any pool) and the lifeguard provided waterwings for my son on June 14th. They were collected when the pool closed and the next morning (June 15th) when we went for our last swim we asked for the waterwings again. We were then told that they don't provide them - we have to buy them - what the....??? Overnight it changed??? Didn't we pay so much to stay here to get pampered - apparently not!
Don't get the IMAX package for the pizza - Terrible pizza! Not recommended.
I expected more with the Hilton name and was sadly mistaken! With the price we paid - we should have gotten more

My Stay at the Hilton Hotel was awesome! The rooms are nice and clean, and they have big bathrooms. You couldn't Hear anyone walking down the halls at night. Which is always a problem with hotels. The beds are comfortable and I always had a good nights sleep. The hotel is right in the middle of everything so you could just walk to wherever you wanted to go that day. If its nice out that is a good thing to do. Another plus is that its right across the street from a casino.
Another thing that I liked about the Hilton Hotel was the pool, hot tub, sauna and gym.
They were all right next to eachother. It was great to have something to do at night. There is a two story waterslide going into the pool. That was alot of fun. I hope to go back again.

We were quoted a price of $150.00 a night for a room at an american rate $179.00 for canadian. Our credit card was billed $276.78 for one night. Why such a discrepancy in price. Is this a bait and switch game. When we called the front desk asking for an explanation they were rude and uncooperative. This will be the last time we stay with Hilton if this is your idea of customer service.

My husband and I drove to Niagara Falls for the weekend. I had booked a two night "get away package" with the Hilton. The package included a breakfast buffet for the two mornings. The buffet was in the hotel restaurant on the 33th floor with fantactic views of the Falls. The staff was friendly and efficient.
The room was on the 25th floor and also was a "fallsview" room. The only problem was that the non-smoking room had a very musty odor. I discovered on Sunday an ashtry full to the brim with cigarette butts. Guess housekeeping could do a little better. Be aware that as part of this package you get a $75.00 Cn voucher towards dinner at the Watermark Restaurant. (again 33th floor of hotel). Just be advised that our bill for two came to $180 before the use of the voucher. $75 will not cover any meal there. Again, good staff, etc but they fall short of the fine dining experience they are trying to project. Still a great weekend getaway. Walkway to the Fallsview Casino, shuttle to the Falls, great views, friendly staff. Will stay there again.

Stay was great. Location is great for fallsview area. Hotel is nice and comfortable. The pool with waterslide and fun stuff was great! Front desk staff was rude and blew me off when asked about a loud construction sounds in room next door. Martini lounge on top floor looked cool, was open but there was no staff to bartend or help so went to casino instead.

At the Hilton, there are many things that make it a more enjoyable place to stay than other average hotels. The pool is one of the most extraordinary ones that I've ever seen in a hotel. There is a 3 story twirly tube water slide, a spectacular waterfall in which you can swim under (it also is visible from the lobby and looks gorgeous), and an area off the main pool where it gives the feel of a whirlpool spinning because of the direction that the jets are pointed. There is also a great steam room which isn't as dry as saunas but if you like it dry there's a sauna as well. The hot tub is also fantastic. The fitness room is overlooking the pool and is very good as well. The rooms are very clean and neat. if you are travelling with a lot of people, you can even get suites with one room with a king bed and other with 2 queens. There's also a great bathroom with a jacuzzi and french windows whick open to see ito one of the bedrooms. It is very close to the falls and the New casino that was just built. There's an archade and some stores as well.

For the price of this hotel I expected more. The key card never worked. Had to exchange at least 4 times over two day stay. We like our room cool to sleep in and found it to be 75 in October. Called front desk and was told that AC was turned off for the season. They sent a fan (12 inch) up to the room. Went to the Watermark for breakfast. View was terrific, but, Plates and coffee cups were so cold that breakfast and coffee was very cold as soon as they touched plates. For a "AAA" Hilton the problems we had should not have been there.

Booked our "Getaway" Package with the Hotel directly : that consisted of 2 nights stay, breakfast buffet 2 mornings and a dinner voucher for $75. Package rate was C$ 329 for a Superior room. I am a member of the Hhonors and check in was fast as I stood in the "Zip Check in for Hhonors" line at the counter. Other people in the regualr line were not doing that good and I counted about 7 families lined up to check in: in a place like Hilton it should not happen! We were handed coupons for the 33rd Floor restaurant for the breakfast and dinner.
Room was on the 17th Floor, with a view of the American Falls but virtually none of the Canadian Falls as that was almost completely blocked by the Casino Parking. I requested some extra pillows from the housekeeping and they sounded like they were doing me a favor by sending over some, which they eventually did after about 25 minutes. (and this was at about 5 pm). Having stayed at other premium hotels, I noticed that the wallpaper of the room looking dated and the smell of smoke in a "non smoking" room. As expected, the offer of a "odor eliminator" was sent to the room after about 35 minutes! However, I liked the working desk and the general size of the room.
The sole reason why I preferred the Hilton is because of the Walkway to the Casino which has been upgraded at the Casino end recently by putting a wall between the Parking and the walkway: less cold that way!
The major disappointment was the restaurant. The fine print says that the Breakfast buffet is for "2 adults", so if you have a kid (iike we did) you had to pay extra. A nice little arrangement: for the Hotel which they tout as a family getaway! Since my kid was less that 5, he ate free. We felt that the issue is not about $30 additional for the buffet: the issue was that the Hotel seemed to be intent on fleecing its customers in every possible way. Another example was the Evian water placed in the room which was priced at $4.95. Again, we could afford it but this kind of guest traps seem to be out of place in a Hilton.
But the real letdown was the dinner. With a $75 credit voucher, you expect to eat reasonably well. Well, we were looking at a menu where entrees were about $50 or above : for example the Seafood (about $49), the lamb (about $46) and appetizers were about $25. Not that we ate less, our dinner check came to about $200, but then again, the feeling that the Hotel was pulling and "bait and switch" was unmistakeable. We could pay $200 at a dinner with a restaurant with an unmistakeably fantastic view: but why not be up front about it. Why tout it as a "Dinner included" package and the fine print boil it down to the price of an entree (well almost).
If it were not for the walkway to the Casino and my Hhonors points, I would have preferred the Casino resort over Hilton, and next time, I will!

My wife and I went to Niagara on a 2nd honeymoon 2/2005. When we finally went to bed on the first night, our sheet had a dried blood stain, about 4 inches long. Like the sheet was washed but it never came out. Management was very apologetic, and fixed the situation quickly. Our account was credited, however, it still spoiled our first vacation in 4 years. The food is very pricy in the 33rd floor dining area, but good. Our $75 dollar voucher covered half of our meal. The nice thing was that the free breakfast coupons we recieved were also good anytime at Denny's next door, which was a nice change of pace. I truly beileve that what happened to my wife and I was a fluke, the GM called me at home to apologize for the situation as well. My advice to you is to ask for their special packages, because Niagara is expensive anywhere you go. Their package pricing is generally cheaper than their rack rates.

Great view but very expensive. Valet parking awful; very long waits, couldn't reach them by phone and drivers rude. My husband and I were intentionally pushed into a wall by a valet driver parking a car. Whole hotel over-priced for what is only an average hotel.

Very well-kept hotel. If you're looking for a superb view of the falls - this isn't really it. It gives a view of the Casino moreso than the falls.

I loved this hotel! we just wanted to get away as a couple for two nights. the parking was okay; the room was nice; and it overlooked the americian falls but the casino was in the way but at that point; i didnt care its not like you cant see any of the falls and it was neat to look down and see the tiny cars and ppl. it was nice to have a walkway so we culd walk to the casino but once you got there you had to go thru the casino parking lot and it was freezing cold and i had NO coat on! because i thot it went straight to the doors of the casino-it doesnt! nice place great alfredo in the restaurante upstairs! i ate the whole plate and wanted more! but didnt too expensive. good breakfast but long long lineup! but hey when ur this comfortable who cares right! its not like they will run out of food! we are going back again in a month or two! OH the water slide

I have only been on one water slide and only once in my entire life
im terrified of falling off the sides while going down cause im so skinny; so i went to the top of the slide after climbing stairs
and did a run and jump onto the slide, laid on my back and closed my eyes BAD IDEA cause the end of the slide comes way too fast and i had to breathe in right before then i thot i was drowning-hahahah my husband was smiling and laughing so much im like choking when i came up for air! oh man the guests must have liked that show! and it was all for free!hahha the gym is nice i went on the treadmill forever!
the swim area is in front of the lobby with glass see thru so you either have to really like swimming and ur body or u just dont care that there are alot of ppl looking at you! and strut ur stuff...i did!

The check-in time is too late. 4pm and the staff does not even pretend to be compassionate about the inconvience. The view I paid for was supposed to be the best in the house. The falls were a bit futher away than i was led to believe and even though you could see them pretty good when i was standing up by the window i would have preferred to view them upon rising in bed or even while i was sitting on the couch however we were forced to either stand next to the window or pull up a couple of chairs. The staff must might do well to train at Friendlys because even though some were nice, i received the impression that some just did not like me especially when i did not buy a package that one of them was offering. On the plus side this was the most comfortable bed i ever slept in and the fireworks view was top notch from our room. The Oasis (pool area) was exquisite which included everything you could ever want including a sauna, steam room and a 3 story slide which my daughter loved (watch out for slippery floors though) All things considered i would never stay at this Hilton again however, i am not ready to omit other Hiltons from my vacations based on this one bad Hitlon. They really need to work on there service here.

My husband and I checked into the hotel on a Sunday afternoon. The check-in area is a mess, a regular traffic jam, and I'm from Chicago. Once inside, the hotel staff was not very helpful or friendly. I asked for directions, and the clerk looked at me like I was crazy. The lobby is so narrow that everyone is bumping into each other with their suitcases. The pool is in the lobby and the kids control it, so forget about any adult swim. Once in the room, the Hilton offers you a bottle of Evian water, then says in small print it costs $6 which they will bill you. The beds were comfortable but here's where the real nightmare begins...The walls must be paper thin, and you get HEAR everything ALL NIGHT LONG...people talking in the hallways, babies crying, toilets flushing, and water running. So it really doesn't matter that the bed's are comfortable because the noise will keep you up all night. No Rest Here!!!
Check out was another nightmare, a real traffic jam in front of the hotel.
The best thing about this "4 STAR HILTON" was that we only stayed one night.

The front desk service was alright, but not great. We were greated with a " can you come back in an hour "....
After coming back and checking in we were given a choice of valet parking or parking in the lot ourselves. We opted to park ourself, to save the $20.00 valet charge. The front desk person asked for a $50.00 deposit for incidentals. I was told that my charge card " wouldn't go through ", so I had to walk to the ATM to withdrawl $50.00 for the deposit ( same card - shazam... ).
The smoking room we stayed in lacked an ashtray and the coffee pot was cracked. Enough said.
At checkout I was advised that I was being charged $20.00 for the priveledge of parking in the parking lot! What an outrage. This is my last visit to this hotel!

My first impression was that this is a clean and classy hotel. I was so impressed with it that I plan to go back next month.

We stayed here in one of the two bedroom fallsview suites and enjoyed the AMAZING view from our room and also the fantastic view from the restaurant. Our teenage children loved the pool and facilities, but like a previous reviewer, the jacuzzi bath with the folding windows out into the bedroom was a joke we would not pay to repeat! Food in the restaurant was good and very good in comparison to some other places in Niagara.

My husband and I were able to take a small vacation for a few days without the kids -so I thought the Hilton would make us feel "pampered" -just to sum it up -it was nice, o.k., but NOT ANYTHING SPECIAL! I read all of the reviews on this site prior to booking a room -and my opinion seems to concur with most already posted -the consensus seems to be it was just o.k. The elevators were fine (and this was the end of June), the rooms were cleaned pretty well. There was one day our coffee pot wasn't cleaned at all and no additional coffee left, the bed was made , but the pillows just thrown back on the bed. We also had a pile of Canadian change left out on the desk to take home to our kids -the next day it wasn't there -perhaps the housekeepers thought this was a tip?
Our biggest complaint was miscommunication amongst different members of the staff. The concierge told us one thing, the front desk a different story and the shuttle driver something different yet -so be careful here. Also at check-in, we told them we did not have a car, so not to charge us for parking, and upon check-out, you guessed it -the pareking fees plus taxes were on our bill -so had to get that corrected. Also the GST tax CAN NOT be rebated at the hotel, as their web-site had stated -the staff person at the desk told us that they had been "doing it wrong", so they could not take care of it at the hotel anymore -so you have to go to the Rainbow Bridge before leaving Canada to take care of it. Also, the staff at the restaurant are not prompt to refill your coffee cup or water glass -you have to ask- not the level of service I would expect to match with the prices. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the bed was awesomely comfortable!
The next time -I probably won't stay there again. We ate at the KEG at the Embassy Suites, and just the employees we came into contact there going in to the KEG were extremely friendly!
Overall it wasn't anything special -for a Hilton I expected more and it didn't deliver.

The hotel did not quite live up to our expectations of a Hilton stay and we feel we paid "too many points" for this visit. As Hilton HHonors Gold VIP members, we are used to more features/amenities/benefits and with the high listed room price, we just expected more. This Hilton was lacking--in that there were no added services above walk-in rate, this hotel does NOT offer/have an executive wing (but when we called to ask what will they do for us, they told us in the future they might, as an additional tower is planned to be built onto the hotel). Parking is bad and whether you choose self-park or valet, you still pay $20+taxes (in Canadian). For self-park, you have to pass the stinky garbage bins, walk up a steep hill and cross a busy street to get to the lot, which is adjacent to a Hooters.
Upon entering, the lobby is gorgeous and clean. Everything shines! Front desk staff & concierge were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The day prior to check-in, we had to resolve being booked in the wrong room and the front desk staff was quick to remedy the problem. We also requested no Down pillows, comforter, etc (allergy issues) and this was taken care of prior to check-in. Housekeeping was pleasant & informative and our room was serviced very well and requests were all met during the stay. However, the interior hallway carpets and wallpaper in public areas had old stains scattered about. The views from our room were "OK" but not as nice as pictured online (due to the tall, flashy casino tower across the street). It seemed the elevators were a little slow and overcrowded, no matter the time of day. While the pool was very attractive and clean and we enjoyed visiting there, the floors are SLIPPERY! Three of the four people in our party took a fall during our visit. There are non-slip mats covering parts of the deck area, but not all of completely, and even the mats are a tripping hazard, so make sure you have safe-tread shoes and be very, very careful. The waterslide and waterfall in the pool area do not operate all day long; they are only running for a few hours during the day (this is during the week--there was a schedule posted but I did not pay attention to weekend operation hours) and the pool is not guarded when the slide is not in operation. All the kids seemed to love "performing" in the smaller pool, which has a see-thru wall to the lobby area. We did not use the fitness area or the hot tub area during our visit. The attached walkway from the Hilton to the casino is nice, but it takes you thru the bowels of the parking garage/exhaust to actually get inside. It's much easier just to cross the street outside to access the main casino entrance. Our room included the breakfast buffet on the top floor restaurant, which we enjoyed. The views up in the Hotel's restaurant are beautiful. The food was all the right temperature and tasted good, and there was a decent breakfast variety offered. Our servers, hostess, etc were very friendly, too. We didn't eat any "paid" meals in the hotel, nor use the bar service, but the menu prices seemed a little steep (even for the Niagara Falls area, they were higher than most).
Overall, our visit was OK and my opinion is "neutral". Like I said previously, it did not meet my expectations of a Hilton stay, so I'm not sure whether I would stay here again or recommend somebody staying here. There are so many other places to stay in Niagara Falls and in the past, we've got much better service/amenities elsewhere and at Hampton Inns than at this particular Hilton. While it was OK and we had a good vacation, it seemed a little overpriced and we feel we "paid" too much.

They even upgraded us to a suite when there was a problem in our room. Always employees around asking if you need help with anything

We stayed at the Hilton for two nights over the Memorial Day holiday after 2 nights at the Marriott. Well the Hilton can not compare to the Marriott strictly due to location. However, as a Diamond member they upgraded uo to the 19th floor and a jacuzzi suite. The views were actually better than I expected. We had a nice view of the American Falls and a partial view of the Horseshoe Falls. Unfortunately a lot is blocked due to the casino. I would imagine a lower floor would not be very good at this hotel.
We found the service to be very good and overall the hotel to be very nice. I did park down the street a 1/2 block in the IMAX lot for $5.00 instead of the $20.00 at the hotel. We received free breakfast vouchers so the cost was not an issue but the buffet was very nice as well as the view.
Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again but realizing it just can not offer the spectacular views that others can.

Big Casino right in front of the hotel. You can see the American falls on the left pretty well, and you can see most of the Horseshoe falls on the right, but the Casino is right in the middle. We were on the 21st floor, and part of the Casino covered part of the Horseshoe falls. Nice Jacuzzi tub, but the drain mechanism was disassembled, and the shower didn't work. Getting these fixed caused about a 2 hour delay. It was also hard to get a hold of the Concierge to ask questions.

From the begining, the staff was very helpful (our first time out of the country). At check-in they upgraded our room to a premium fallsview - it was awesome! Dining in the Watermark Restaurant was delicious with beautiful view of the falls (33rd floor). It would have been perfect if they had a shuttle to the falls - their's only went to the casino (which is just across the street!).
