Michael's did not have wonderful view but was within walking distance of everything. Hotel was clean and the room was very nice. I felt we definately got a deal for price we paid and location. The restaurant was pricey and the food was nothing to brag about. The bar is not recommended to spend your money at. For the same price you can go to the Hard Rock Cafe and have entertainment too. Don't exchange your money at hotel! Go to casino to exchange or currency exchange booths on Clifton Hill. If you aren't going for the ""extras"", I would highly recommend staying here. I looked for cheaper priced hotels, but they seemed to be questionable, especially based on some of the negative reviews of the other hotels. The reviews for this hotel were almost all positive, so I went for this one. We were happy that it was clean and everything was working. Bathroom was small, but ok. Room was a little damp, but then again, the whole area is damp. It is Niagara falls after all. Michael's Inn was okay for our 2 night stay. It is an older place but kept very clean. The room we had with 2 Queen beds was tight for a family of 4. There was no room to walk after bringing in our luggage. The balcony was nice and we were able to see a small portion of the falls when we stood at one end of the balcony. The falls are about 2-3 blocks away - not far to walk. The bathrooms could really use some updating. There are no exhaust fans. The hallways smelled a little musty. Overall, it was okay but not for the price. I would pay a little more to stay elsewhere. We stayed at Michael's and were overall very satisfied. The location can't be beat and the price made it a great value. The falls view was not great, but it is a short walk to get there and the casino and clifton hill. It's pretty easy to find, right off the bridge, and parking was free.
Michael's Inn is just to the right of the Rainbow Bridge. The rooms are good. There is a restaurant and indoor pool. It is close to the Falls and most attractions, but on the quieter side of town. The restaurant does close quite early, but snacks, such as pizza, are available till late night at the bar. Free parking good, Decor of hotel is in need of updating, and bathrooms are small, but overall good hotel for price Stay here if you want a great value. The rooms are clean, and it is a short walk to Clifton Hill. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. They also have a jacuzzi to soak in after a long day walking. A big plus. Very clean, very affordable. Visited Niagara Falls for the first time and stayed at Michael's. Staff very nice and location very convenient - close to everything but not so close it was noisy. View of the fireworks from the street in front of the hotel. Parking great and free! This place was so nice and clean. It is an older hotel but they have really put money into the up-keep of this hotel and it shows! The room rate was very reasonable. I would stay there again We have stayed many times in 12 years, honeymoon then family trips. Rooms are good size, spotlessly clean, well maintained and surprisingly, REASONABLE PRICE! The staff was extremely friendly & helpful, the pool area spotless, great temp, open until 11pm. We ordered room service breakfast every day, arrived hot & freshly prepared. Very short walk to Casino, Planet Hollywood & Hard Rock, Clifton Hill. Theme rooms with Jacuzzi rooms are enormous & really romantic! We're looking forward to return in July, wouldn't stay anywhere else in NF |
Price was good...Location was great, had a view of the river..Bad part about balcony is the light is always on..Can't sit out at night w/o being illuminated. Beds were comfy..Bathroom small but usable..Lower level parking was tight...Pool area new and well maintained..and good up to date equipment in exercise room. Air conditioning was easily controlled..but if u got kids..There was no nick or cartoon net..Just some canadian cartoon channels. Restaurant buffet was ok..No fruit to speak of..lots of fat & carbs. Overall good place We stayed in sept. for our anniversary, I had booked and paid for a riverview room instead we recieved a basement rm. Where in order to see out the window we had to stand on the bed. Mangement was unaccomdating refuesed to refund money or change accomdation. Worst service and hotel I have ever stayed at!
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a very nice restaurant and bar. The pool and Hot tub were excellent additions. The rooms were very clean. The view could have been better but all in all it was very nice and I will stay there again. Our children will love it. This hotel is within walking distance of the Falls and all the major attractions of the Niagara Falls CA area .Our room had a view of the American Falls from the balcony. It is close enough to everything, but far enough away to be quiet at night, which hotels in the Clifton Hill area wouldn't have been. The room was clean and well kept. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated the fact that the parking was free, since many of the hotels in that area charge for parking in addition to the room charges. The restaurant has good breakfast (did not eat there for other meals) and the server named June was VERY friendly and helpful. She even called to find out which bridge had the shortest wait time for us when we were ready to return to the US. The only complaint we had was that the one time we tried to order room service, they were too busy to help us, so we ended up ordering pizza from a local place instead. The pool and hot tub were great too-- the hot tub is easily large enough for 12 people and it felt great after walking all day! Really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. Couldn't ask for a better location. Mintutes to pretty much everything. Rooms were clean. Didn't try the restaurant, lounge or swimming facilities. Too busy enjoying everything that Niagara has to offer. Thanks for a wonderful stay. This place was good, however the only thing that worried me were the emergency exits-there were only two side doors. Also there was no ice machine on the third floor, we had to go down to the second just to get ice. Otherwise the staff was great, friendly and nice and the rooms were clean and pleasant. I was very happy with my choice of Michael's Inn. Great location for both when you cross the bridge and then for enjoying the town. Clean and comfortable with a curtious staff. We stayed at the Michael's Inn June 1st and 2nd. I didn't want to leave. The pool was fantastic, the staff freindly and helpful and the food was fantastic. We had a $* package plan which we added on to our room stay and if was to die for. The breakfast was a full buffett and the dinner was a choice of 4 (FULL) meals, I had the Prime Rib which came with my appetizer and dessert/coffee/tea/drink.Stay here if you arelooking for a great place close to but away from the falls |
