Best experience from start to finish. From the reservation call to check out time. We had so much fun in the waterpark, the kids were so tired that they went straight to bed. My mother came with us a there was lots of space in the room. My Husband and I went down to the restaurant and enjoy a great dinner. Check this place out!! You will have fun!

Upon arrival to our room after check in, the cars given to us did not work. Walked all the way around the building to the front desk to replace them, Second set did not work. Had to get maint guy to let us in. The room stank and had stains on the carpet. Called down for additional pillow and no one came. Called a second time and 45 minutes later they arrived.
Complained in the morning about the cards, room and lack of service. Spoke the the "so called" manager Ian Conway, who said he would look into it and call me back. No call. I sent a letter of disgust to him and the "actual" hotel manager. No response. Do yourselves a favour ... dont waste your time or money here, and dont get taken in by the waterpark ... Spend a few extra bucks and stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. That .... you wont regret.

what a great time!! They had activities planned for the kids thru out the day. Unfortunately the weather was a little wintery, so we didn't venture to far from the Hotel. We had a deluxe standard room on the 3rd floor. It was clean and beautifully furnished. The hotel was clean thru out. I never had to worry about the kids "touching" The food was very good, a little pricey but you don't mind paying when the meals enjoyable. The booths in Jack Tannery's have 9 inch TV which the kids loved. Helped to keep them entertained while we waited for our pool. The water park wasn't as big as we'd expected but it was a blast. Our kids are 5 and 11 and there was something for each of them to enjoy. Mom & Dad enjoyed the hot tub. The arcade was larger than we'd expected. It was a great after dinner treat for the kids. Needless to say we all went to bed exhausted but with smiles on our faces. We're already talking about making this our new Easter Tradition. The only thing we would do differently is reserve one of the larger rooms.

Kids had an absolute blast! Great waterpark and excellent service. We not only had fun but felt relaxed - we could see the kids the whole time - great design! We'll be back!

We booked a room for $129 US per night, and felt it was more than worth the money. The weather during our stay was very warm, and the water park was PERFECT! It features two body slides, two tube slides, a water playground with a huge bucket that spills its watery contents every few minutes, a big wave pool, a smaller pool off to the side with a couple of baskets to shoot hoops while swimming, a smaller pool with toys and slides for toddlers, and a big spa to sooth those tired bones with all the running around you'll do with the kids! We stayed for two days, and must have used the water park a total of 4 times. Our room was 20 steps away from the water park doors. Even though the park is inside, it features a retractable roof and doors that the staff had opened to allow for a nice refreshing breeze to enter. The cost of the water park w/o a stay at hotel is $20/person, so we really got our moneys worth. As for the hotel itself, I consider it on par with most Holiday Inn's I've stayed at recently. Yes, there were minor issues (sink slow to drain, worn rug in room, some trim that needed repair). Did it impact our enjoyment? Not one bit. We are not neat freaks, but wouldn't stay in a place that was unclean, and we did not get this feeling at all at the Americana. I've read some reviews that seemed to harp on this, and the staff. Our check in and check out were uneventful..taking just minutes on both ends. We ate breakfast at the onsite restaurant 'Jack Tanners', which featured small TV sets at each table. The food was solid and service was okay. We probably would have eaten dinner here too, but wanted to check out more of the sights in the falls. Each interaction with staff was positive, and while we had no issues during our stay, I get the impression if we did, it would have been handled with no problem.
Niagara Falls is filled with choices when it comes to places to stay. Each has its advantage and disadvantage. But again, if you are a family with youngsters looking for a place to stay and play without breaking the bank, a place your kids will LOVE, than this is it.
Now, with that said, a little warning about the location, Lundy's Lane.
Zoning officials must have had a field day when deciding which businesses be allowed to set up shop along Lundy's lane. While it did not affect our stay one bit, I was surprised to see a number of 'Men's Club's' along the same strip as the Americana, and other resort motels. There are some seedly establishments along the path to the falls when traveling along Lundy's Lane. And while our kids were oblivious, I thought it interesting that the Canadian side of the Falls is fast becoming similar to the American side..and that's too bad.
Bottom line: excellent value for vacationing family. Niagara Falls, like most tourist towns, is equipped to take your money very quickly. We were able to spend hours and hours at the water park without leaving our hotel. The kids loved it, and my wife and I loved it too! Plus, the water park wore them out! We stayed midweek, and my son and I were able to ride the 'aqua tube' repeatedly without having to wait in line! We will be back, perhaps in the middle of winter, when a weekend visit to a waterpark may be just the thing!!

My husband, 2 daughters and I visited this week, and loved it.
The staff was friendly, the hotel was spotless, the rooms were a good size and very clean, we loved the fact that our room had a fridge and a microwave.
The water park was great, there is something for all age groups.
There is a nice outdoor space, a playground, volleyball nets, a basketball court, picnic tables and bbq's.
We liked the fact that is not right in the "Falls district', this is a resort therefore if you so choose you can spend your entire stay in the complex.
Many of the other hotels, closer to the falls make you pay for parking this is not the case at the Americana.
The entire staff including the front desk staff, maids, lifeguards and staff working in the arcade, were friendly and very helpful.
We look forward to our next stay at the Americana.

I got a good price for this hotel for the beginning of January for $99/ night the hotel was nice and the water park was nice also and my kids did have fun but the customer service was really really bad and poor, the maids didn’t clean our rooms good and left so much things messy all she really did was make the beds and then when we complained the said they couldn't touch anything on the table cause she doesn’t know what was garbage. there was a pizza crust my kids left on a table like if she couldn't tell that was garbage then I don’t know what is I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN no matter how cheap the rooms were and another thing the rooms were cheap but the phone calls and the food at the restaurant was really expensive I end up spending $1000 instead of $400

My family and I had so much fun at the Americana. My kids and I spend hours in the waterpark. I had a hard time getting my kids to leave. The staff were friendly and helpful with things to do in the area ( when I could pull them out of the waterpark). We had a room with two beds and it was perfect for the four of us. It was clean and comfy. Had a great time we will be back.

What a great place!!!! My son who is 4 years old loved the water park and all the children activities they had for him. Our room was wonderful and spacious. There was so much to do that everyone in the family was happy. Daddy enjoyed being a kid again in the arcade and water park, while mommy loved being pampered in the spa. Our little one just loved everything. We will definetly go back and we have already started to recommend this hotel to family and friends.

We stayed over a weekend at the Americana resort and had great fun at the waterpark. After reading other reviews I was little bit concerned about the rooms and the staff. This place has had a face lift and our room and and the floors I saw were all totally redone. This is a very nice place with an awsome water park!
I booked online and payed $120 for Saturday and $91 for Sunday night including 4 waterpark tickets. The Waterpark is open until 9:00 PM on Saturday (Sunday til 4:00 pm). The waterpark tickets are $25/person if you're not staying at the Hotel.
Our room had a fridge, microwave, 2 queen beds and a big new bathroom. The room was spotless, everthing very new and tastfully decorated. We didn't eat at the Hotel restaurant, since there are so many other choices. We were glad to have brought our own snacks, since the snackbar is quite pricey.

Upon arrival The cards given to us did not work. Second set did not work. The room stank and had stains on the carpet. Called down for additional pillows twice. 45 minutes later they arrived.Complained in the morning about the cards, room and lack of service. Great fun for kids. During our two night stay the waterpark was not crowded at all, and was exciting enough for our six year old who loved every minute of it. It might be a bit small for bigger kids or adults. If you don't want to use the waterpark, then you can probably find better value elsewhere.
Rooms were spacious and clean.
Food in the waterpark wasn't very good, and we didn't try their main restaurant. I can really recommend Carpaccio, which is halfway back up Lundy's Lane towards downtown.

My son and I spent 4 days at this hotel.I chose it for the waterpark feature...it was not worth it!! He was looking forward to seeing the Falls for the first time...along with all the other attractions the Falls has to offer. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived at this hotel miles from anything to do with the Falls. The area around this hotel is quite run down. If you don't want to go anywhere the hotel is self contained. There is a Comedy Club for adults only..the small waterpark for kids...and the spa. We were able to check in before the 3pm. stated check in time which was appreciated. I was unimpressed with our room. It was dark, the bedspreads were old and worn looking as was the carpeting. The two outlets on the one wall had multiple items going to them...a fire hazard in my eyes. I did like that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom appeared to have been remodled but the shower had very little water pressure. My biggest disappointment was the distance from the falls or any attractions. The hotels "Fall shuttle" service was not available...it starts in May. This was not mentioned in the hotels information. The cost for a cab from the hotel to Clifton Hill is anywhere from $15.00 to $18.00 no matter what the front desk says...if you don't have a car be prepared to fork out alot in cab fares because there is nothing to do around that hotel for kids, other than the overly chlorinated water park, which is quite small in comparison to other parks. It is not worth the $25.00 non guests pay to use the facility. The Senses Spa was the only good thing about this hotel. The spa personnel were friendly and very professional. I would visit the spa again but never stay at this hotel.
