While the parking was not very convenient, our room was outstanding. The whole place was quaint, clean, and very well priced. The staff were some of the nicest people we've come across. A+
Good large room, Good beds, updated bath and furniture, good location if you are driving, hotel bus is ok , but at night it is always full to get to hotels. Customer service is not that great. Hotel has wireless internet which was very helpfull. Free parking. Overall it is a good value, i paid 76$ in August 19-23, it was one of the better deals out there . This
is a warning. Never stay in this hotel. Our otherwise lovely trip to
canada was quite horribly marred by this bad experience. My
family and I booked a Sunday night. The rate was much better than any of
the other 'name' brand hotels in the area (at least 30% less). very
disappointed with hotel. We stayed at this one because of the fireplaces
but the fire looked like it was dying out. Even though the hotel was
almost empty we were given a room that looked out a fence about 1 foot
away. Rooms were dusty. Had to use the pools across the street which they
had informed us of but we wanted the fireplace. Pool was dirty so was the
whirlpool and I had ants crawling on me. We had maintenace come in to see
if they could get the fireplace going better.

Most likely the best price in Niagra Falls. The rooms were average size, clean, and had veranda's to look at the views. The pool the kids loved and I enjoyed the sauna. The staff was very helpfull, could have more of them thought. The hotel is fine a little bit outdated but has everything we needed. The hotel is walking distance to the falls and sights. The only suggestion I would have would be to include breakfast with the stay. The price of the room is still a bit high and breakfast would have been a nice touch. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and I loved the fact that there was a shuttle that took us to and from the main tourist areas. Where to Begin? Offsite (and dark) Parking lot, Late Shuttle to Casino, Free (ha ha) Vouchers to overpriced restaurant (Frontier Steakhouse), Double talk on US exchange rate deal: We were told we we could pay in U$D at time of booking and then were told NO at checkout with our US Credit CARD, the result was them grabbing an extra $30 of our money for nothing! Place is full of Loud patrons (we were woken up at 3 AM one night). This Place is Sub standard! Period. we stayed here three nights in January of 2006. The package price was fantastic. The room was average. All rooms have fireplaces, but these are no big deal in this case....kind of low budget fireplaces that run on a timer that you can hear ticking. The door to our room was in disrepair and it almost always took several attempts to open it. One lamp had a knob missing, so we couldn't use it and the heat control also had a button missing....but the room was otherwise clean and comfortable. The pool was too chilly for our liking....Jacuzzi was average. Service was helpful and polite...but there were only 10 guest rooms taken, so not much to contend with during the winter off season. The Best Western Fireside hotel is a great hotel. The rooms are nice and big with a fireplace in every room. The pool is nice a little old but it did the job. The hot tube was also nice. We got the package deal which included two breakfasts and a diner. The food was above average and was enjoyed by all. The hotel staff were also very helpful and friendly. The only two downfalls of the hotel are that the shuttle bus only ran until 11:30 which was a little early for us but it was not a big deal. The only other thing is it was a little far away from the falls. So if you are coming in from farther away you may want to stay a little closer to the falls. It was about a 10 min drive to the falls. All in all this was a really good hotel and we would definitly stay here again. |
