Great hotel-traveling on business only. Hotel has everything for a business traveler-business center, fitness area, pool, jacuzzi are all great. Also, comp hot breakfast buffet was delicious. It is in a great location for travelers. There were many families there as well, all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Hotel is noticeably cleaner than others. Friendly staff If you are interested in having the best hotel stay ever, then stay here. The hotel itself is gorgeous. It is in tip top shape. We compared it to many other hotels in the area before choosing, and we won't name names, but none compared to the Embassy. It looks like a brand new hotel. The furniture is gorgeous, and the rooms are very clean. Our suite was spacious and had a lovely view of the falls. Other hotels will say they are the closest to the falls, but trust me, they're not. This one is. The location is excellent. The hotel staff was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. We had a great rate, and that included a full hot breakfast buffet as well. This place is dynamite! I loved everything about this Hotel. Location, quality, rooms & free breakfast. I would recommend this one to everyone. I had my family of 6, and it was the best time I have had in a long time. Many thanks!
It all started when my family and I were supposed to go to a wedding in Canada and we were going to make a mini vacation out of it. We decided not to go to the wedding and just go to Niagara Falls and so of course that meant that I had to get online and find the right hotel for us. My dad is very picky when it comes to where we stay, so it soon became clear that we were going to spend $1200 at the minimum for 4 nights. I checked out many different hotels including, The DoubleTree, Hilton, Embassy Suites, The Oakes, Sheraton, and all the other nicer hotels. We then eliminated some and the Hilton, Embassy Suites, and DoubleTree were all still possibilities. We wanted two rooms or a suite and wanted a Fallsview room. We checked out the junior suites at the Hilton but they did not have two separate rooms so it wasn’t really a possibility anymore. We were debating and called the DoubleTree. They only had views of the American Falls and the reservation agent did not know whether or not they did have a view of the Horseshoe Falls. So the Embassy Suites it was. We checked reviews and some were good and others were not so good. The Embassy Suites is a four star hotel and has received the AAA 4 diamond award, so we figured it would be nice. We made the reservation by calling their toll free number which can be found on the hotel’s website at www.embassysuitesniagara.com. My aunt convinced us to rebook through her travel agency and we felt better about having a travel agent make our reservation so we had my aunt book the new room and then we called and cancelled the old reservation and they gave us no trouble about canceling due to rebooking. On our new confirmation it said that the hotel has a 72 -hour cancellation policy. So we set off to Niagara Falls and this is what we found…
Arrival/Bellmen: We arrived in the center of Niagara Falls and saw the
42-story Embassy Suites hotel towering above the other buildings and
hotels. I was shocked because the hotel in person looks absolutely
nothing like the one located on travel sites and the advertisements by
the hotel. We passed the other hotels we looked into and made our way to
the Embassy Suites. When you are looking through the list of hotels it
makes it seem like they are far apart or at least that is what I though.
The hotels are towering on top of each other. The Oakes is right
next-door, as well as the Marriott, Radisson, Sheraton, and the Hilton.
As we pulled up to the Embassy Suites, we noticed that there were many
bellmen waiting to help you. We assisted him by pulling the bags out of
the car and he loaded them onto the bellman cart. He was very nice. The
bags were brought inside and the bellman waited for us with our bags by
the elevator while we checked in. I found the bellman to be very nice
and friendly. Do keep in mind that when you park your car the Embassy
Suites Hotel is not responsible for damage to your car unless it was
negligence by the staff. They also don’t park the cars all in a garage
under the hotel like you may think. They park it in other lots because
one day it rained and we had the staff get our car and when the car came
around it was all wet. Parking is 20 dollars Canadian per night and 16
dollars American per night. Arrival: (9/10)
Check-In: A nice lady named Salina checked us in. The desk was well staffed and the lobby was not tall but it had a unique and elegant look to it. Above the check in desk were views from different rooms during different months. It was pretty cool to look at. There is large granite looking tiled circle in the lobby with pillar like fat poles coming up around them. There were colored glass flowers on the ceiling and there were pillars all around. There was also a bellman’s desk to the left when you walk in the lobby. When you walk through the set of doors to go into the lobby you are in a foyer and have to go through another set of electronic doors to get to the lobby. I suppose that this is so the draft won’t come in as easily in the wintertime. We requested that Salina put us on as high of a floor as possible because from a previous review I read, there was a lot of noise from the Atrium that you could hear in your room on the floors directly above it, which would be 10 and 11. We got a Fallsview suite with a king bed and a whirlpool tub. These rooms can only be booked on floors 10 through 15. She said that the highest floor she could put us on would be floor 38 and we would have to pay 50 dollars Canadian per night to upgrade. We accepted and Salina asked how many keys we wanted for our room. We said three and she activated three keys and put them in a slip that said our room number on it, 3809. She also included tickets for our complimentary breakfast in the morning as well as tickets to the manager’s reception, which gave two free alcoholic beverages per day. After that she gave us an information guide about the hotel and we were off to the bellman waiting by the elevator for us after confirming our non-smoking room with Salina. During the check-in process I noticed a couple who wanted a better view of the falls and the lady at the desk directed them to the Marriott next door, I really do not know why because Marriott is not a member of the Hilton family. This shows that they must get a lot of business that they can afford to make a customer happy by sending them elsewhere even if it doesn’t benefit for the hotel. You can also check-in using a self service kiosk machine with keys next to it that you can activate yourself and be on your way without ever talking to a member of the front desk staff. I was very pleased with the way check-in went. Check-in: (10/10) Our Room: We walked over to the elevators and went up to floor 38. There are a lot of elevators. There is one that goes up to floors 10-18. The others go form 19-42. There are also additional elevators and a bellman’s elevator. All in all there are 6 elevators off the lobby. We arrived in our room and we smelled smoke. It was not too bad but it is a nonsmoking room and people smoke in it anyways, so it is not the hotel’s fault. When you walk in, you will find yourself in a parlor. There is a mirrored closet containing a safe, ironing board and iron, and some hangers. There is a desk, a coffee table, and a set of drawers, an end table with a lamp, a loveseat, and a chair matching the couch. There are also four dining chairs. There is a TV as well. It is average for size and when the bed is pulled out from the couch, there is not much walking room. There is Nintendo 64, which I thought was very outdated. The room is decorated in wallpaper with a border on the top of it. There are pictures of the falls hung in the room with plaques stating facts about them. The carpet seemed worn and there was piece of gum, which had long been swooshed in the carpet in the bedroom but was covered by a small table. There is a door in the parlor that opens onto a tile floor where the entrance to the bathroom is and there is a galley style kitchen with a microwave, sink, fridge (1/2 mini bar and half to put your stuff in), and it has a granite counter top as well as the bathroom style sink across the floor from the galley kitchen which also contains a granite countertop. The tile floor then leads to the bedroom, which is carpeted and also contains a TV with an armoire and a few tables. The alarm clock is really cool because you can select music by category and also play Mp3’s on it. The view form our room was amazing. We got a clear view of the American and Horseshoe Falls. It made me dizzy to look out the window it was so high up. There are no balconies at the Embassy Suites for obvious reasons; however there are no balconies at any of the other hotels we looked at either accept for maybe one where only a few rooms contained them. The previous review of this hotel said that there was a window that looked out into the hallway from their parlor. We did not have that but the floors that are standard with booking 10-15 did. The bathroom had nice cabinets and contained a granite countertop. The first section of the bathroom contained the whirlpool tub, which could seat 2 people according to the hotel and a sink. There were shelves and the next room contained the toilet and the stand up tub. The shower was hot and had a glass door versus a curtain that grows mold very easily. However it was small and for women who shave their legs it seems hard to do, and according to my mom, it is. The shower was very clean and there was no mold on it. One of my biggest complaints about the room was that there were no towel bars anywhere in the sink and tub area so our wet hand towels had to be folded and put on the counter where bacteria can grow very easily. About the towels though, they were the softest hotel towels I have ever felt. Most hotels have industrial towels or so it seems and therefore they are not soft but the Embassy Suites seems like they went down to Bed Bath and Beyond and purchased each towel individually. There were windows on the wall of the whirlpool that could be opened and you could look out into the room. The hotel website claims that you can view the falls while sitting in the tub but you cannot at all. The windows are fogged so that they cannot be seen through if closed for privacy. The bathroom was clean but smelled like smoke. The door between the parlor and the kitchen area would not shut. It would jam, but it would shut enough. There was also a light bulb burnt out above the whirlpool tub. The room was clean overall and well kept. Dining: The Embassy Suites hotel contains four places to dine. There is a Starbucks that has coffee and patisseries as well as smoothies. There is a TGI Fridays that is casual but still very expensive compared to most of the Fridays around. We paid $142 for dinner for 3 people including an appetizer and dessert. There is a restaurant called the Keg, which is a steakhouse that has a view of the falls. It has a beautiful wine cabinet. We were very confused as to where the free breakfast was. During the free breakfast they try and seat you within the atrium but if you request, they will seat you at the Keg where you can enjoy a view of the falls. We found out that you can get it at either the Atrium which is very tall and decorated nicely with a glass elevator taking you up to a maximum of floor 18 and it is really cool to look out of. The breakfast is really good and free. You don’t pay a dime but I am sure that it is included in your rate and that you do pay for it in some way. Fridays seemed to have muffins and stuff like that but nothing hot. There is a manager’s reception which is what Salina gave us the tickets to and between the hours of 2 pm and 7 pm you can get complimentary soft drinks, coffee tea, and other drinks like Shirley Temples as well as a vegetable platter and trail mix as well as chips. When we arrived on Thursday it was very crowded and I was put off at how many people were there. It was not as busy the following days. Pool/Jacuzzis: The pool is located on the 9th floor with the Atrium, and the arcade. You are required to insert a room key to go to the pool and the maximum occupancy for the pool and patio area is 73 people. I found the pool to be small because the hotel has 512 rooms and that means that there is going to be well over 1500 people in the hotel during the summer. There are two Jacuzzis that are large and separated by a tile wall that has water running down it. Together they make up more than 3 quarters of the pool. Outside the pool area is a cement deck area, which looked onto the busy street below. There are also bathrooms in the pool area. The pool was only 3 feet deep from end to end. That is it. I found that to be awful. Services: The Embassy Suites hotel offers many different services. They offer room service but I do not advise getting it because for one 20-ounce steak it costs 52 dollars in Canadian money. There is a gift shop next to TGI Fridays located on the lobby level. The store sells necessities and souvenirs such as shirts and other toys for little kids. They also sell candy and gum. There is a tour/concierge desk, which will provide you with any map, or brochure you want. They also give you coupons for the attractions. They are very friendly and will be happy to assist you however one lady did not know the conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit, which I though they should have known. They offer babysitting services and will arrange for spa services for you. You can get wireless Internet anywhere in the hotel. I am not sure how much it costs but for one hour of connected Internet is $15 dollars. I found this to be too expensive to pay for one hour. There is a business center on the lobby level where you can copy and fax and surf the web if you want. There is a mini bar in your room. There are actually two but one is a wet bar. The mini bar is a wicker basket which you can also buy for 18 dollars and contains stuff such as gummy bears and cashews and wine and Evian and other travel necessities. The prices of these mini bar items was astronomical. They wanted 7.30 American for the cashews in a glass jar that had the Embassy Suites logo on it and the same with the gummy bears but they were in a glass jar shaped like a bear. The wet bar serves alcoholic beverages and for a can of imported beer is 8 dollars. The wet bar is accessed by a key that says to keep away from minors due to the alcoholic content. The TV is very cool. It has an on demand program that allows you to purchase movies that have not been released on DVD and video yet for $12.99. I bought United 93 and will soon be writing a review on it. There are also a great number of channels and there is also a section that allows you to access the hotel website on the TV and pay your bill. You can also submit a guest survey. The Embassy Suites Hotel offers something called Suite Essentials. If you forget any travel necessity such as a toothbrush or shaving cream and much more the hotel will provide you with one free of charge. Overall the number of services provided is wonderful and is consistent with other 4 star hotels and the price is no more than any other hotel I suppose. Staff: The staff at the hotel is wonderful. I have not encountered one rude employee since we checked in and it is obvious that the staff really likes their jobs and are glad to serve you. However when I called the housekeeping station to inquire about getting two pillows and a blanket they told me where to find them in my room. I hadn’t pulled out my bed yet and though that the housekeeper took it away when she cleaned the room and the pillows got stepped on. She told me to look and call her back. I just called back and ordered one pillow, which arrived soon enough, and the friendly housekeeper gave me a feather pillow that was more comfortable than the other pillows that come in your room. I know she was trying to help but she should have just said okay, but overall the staff at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Niagara Falls was superb. I noticed that with the exception of Fridays and Starbucks that everyone in the hotel was an Embassy Suites employee. I know that may sound like an obvious assumption but I was wondering if sometimes the employees trade positions like say one would work at the Keg one night and then work at the front desk the next. Do some hotels have their staff do that? I thought the staff was great over all. Housekeeping: I will consider the housekeeping departments separate from the rest of the staff because guest do not usually interact very often with the housekeeper. The housekeepers did a good job making sure the room was clean. She never left us enough towels but after we called the desk or requested one from the housekeeper herself when passing in the hall, she was friendly and gave us what we asked for. They don’t vacuum your room unless it is obvious that it needs to be done. Most hotels don’t so it does not matter very much. Overall housekeeping does a great job at doing what they are supposed to do. Appearance: The attractiveness of the hotel is one of the most important aspects of a hotel when choosing a place to stay. Even though the image of the hotel that you will see on the key cards, internet, and advertisements is completely doctored and looks very different from it, the Embassy Suites, Niagara Falls is attractive. It definitely looks like a city hotel because it is 42 stories high and the back of the hotel is almost 100% glass. There is a flashing light on the roof as well. There is a nice overhang that is spacious enough for you to park you car while you wait for the bellmen to park your car. The inside of the hotel has a lovely lobby and is very detailed throughout the building. What I liked: There is a lot of things that I loved about the Embassy
Suites Hotel. I liked the friendly staff, the large rooms, and the wide
variety of services, the appearance, two TV’s and much more. What I Disliked (not mentioned in the other categories): There were a couple things that I disliked about the hotel that was not previously mentioned in the above categories. The first thing was the elevator. They are very high speed if you don’t stop and will get you to you floor in seconds but the elevator takes forever to get to your floor and if you are on one of the higher floor like we were, by the time you get to the bottom the elevator is jam packed. I have heard many people complain about the elevators during my stay. The second thing was that there was a funny smell by the gift shop and TGI Fridays. It smelled like the Dollar Store (cheapness and plastic toys). It was gross. There were some security issues about the hotel. They don’t make you present your key upon arrival and you don’t need a key to access the elevators and therefore anyone can come up and try to break into your room. However, the door is very solid and heavy, and there is the regular key card lock and the bar and the deadbolt so you should be fine. Things to keep in Mind: We did visit the hotel during the very end of July and that may have something to do with the fact that it was very crowded. There was a ton of people. If you are looking to dive in the pool, you can forget about it because the pool is only 3 feet deep. If you are looking for something cheap, go elsewhere because this hotel is not a Comfort Inn, which is located across the street and did not seem that, bad but had no view of the falls. Another thing to keep in mind when selecting the right hotel in Niagara Falls is that the Embassy Suites is the closest hotel to the falls and therefore has the best view of the falls with the exception of the Marriott right next door, which probably has the same views offered, however the Embassy Suites is taller and therefore most likely has the best view out of all of the hotels. I don’t understand how the Embassy Suites considers themselves the closest hotel to the falls because the Marriott is right next-door and seems like the same distance. Overall: I enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Suites hotel very much. Keep in mind that the DoubleTree, Embassy Suites, and Hilton are all members of the Hilton family and are all 4 star 4-diamond hotels in Niagara Falls. So which one would I recommend? If you like a good view of the falls, stay at the Embassy Suites, as there is a pretty high casino in front of the Hilton, which will obstruct your view of the falls. The DoubleTree is set very far back from the falls and they don’t even offer a Horseshoe falls view room, only an American which is not going to be much given all of the buildings and trees in front of it. If you are looking for a suite, that has two separate rooms or 3 go to the Embassy Suites. You can get a suite at the other two hotels as well, but the Embassy Suites specializes in suites and therefore you will probably find the best one there. The Hilton, however, has a family suite, which is excellent for families. The Embassy Suites offers different types of suites as mentioned above. If I were to go back to Niagara Falls, I think that I would give the Hilton a try because they have a really nice pool with a 3-storey water slide and they also have a sauna. However, I highly recommend the Embassy Suites for anyone staying in Niagara Falls, Ontario. First time staying in Embassy Suites. Room view was good except for roof below. Elevators were also quick breakfast was just ok but all the meals we had were poor to just ok. 20 dollars to park , then 12 dollars for shuttle. shouldn't that be included? Reception was ok, lots of unsupervised children running around at breakfast and reception and in pool area resturaunts in area very expensive 23 dollars for Chicken strips and fries? Very dissapointed with Embassy Suites Niagara the room are lovely and well appointed and quiet, but once outside we were met with hords of children it was like staying ona school campus, dining room is full of children all trying to balance their breakfasts queues everywhere not a pleasant experience, you could grow old waiting for the lifts, always full or hoards of chidren, most families seemed to have about 5. The 'atrium' is a grim multi coloured place too small the the amount of people using set out like a school dinner hall. Highly recommend the combination pass offered by the Niagara Falls Park service. It includes the Maid of the Mist, Journey behind the Falls, White Water Walk & Butterfly Conservatory. ALso included if all-day Bus Transportation. You can do all attractions in one-day for $40 an adult. It's a good value. This
is a large tourist hotel with fab views. Our room on 19th floor overlooked
the Horseshoe Falls. Expected higher floor due to Hilton Honors Silver but
no perks given. Breakfast was excellent, omelet cooked to perfection.
Downside everyone had a hand out for tips, valets, breakfast coffee
servers, maids, etc. Also everything is taxed, including the parking! |
This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were sparkling clean, and they have an awesome lobby. It looks like something from Vegas. There is a dynamite view of Niagara Falls from the rooms and from their restaurant (which was also great I might add!) The service was great too. Everyone was cheerful. Our kids enjoyed themselves at the pool. It's the perfect size and wasn't crowded at all. The free breakfast buffet was a huge plus. All was excellent. The
Embassy Suites Hotel in Niagara Falls offers 3 types of rooms: city
views, view of one of the falls, or views of both falls. The view from our suite overlooking the falls was awesome.Did not like the fact that we were ""forced"" to do valet and pay for it (with the price I paid for the suite, you would think it should automatically be included). Disappointed with check-in. Requested early check-in and they were not able to accomodate us (even though e-mail confirmation back said they would). There way of remedying the situation was to offer us another room and pay $40 extra per night. No apologies from them what so ever. My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in July, and we stayed here. We loved it. We booked a fallsview suite with jacuzzi. The view from the room was extraordinary. The falls are so beautiful, and we could see them perfectly right from our wondow. The room is equipped with a fridge and microwave, and minibar! It was great. The employees were so friendly and helpful. The rate was very fair, plus it came with a full hot breakfast buffet. The service in the restaurants were great too. The Keg restaurant is excellent, and it's right on the 9th floor of the hotel. You can't beat this hotel. Very nice hotel. I had a few problems. They tried to give me a room on the 10th floor with a partial view of the falls. I had booked and paid for a room advertised as a full view on floors 15-20. I paid $20 CDN per night to upgrade to a Suite on the 38th floor. The other problem was that they charged two huge amounts of money totaling nearly $300 to my credit card without consent. They justified this as a ""hold for incidentals."" Also, They charge $40 per night for valet parking. Park at the Fallsview Casino for free with a PAC. Our family had the pleasure of staying at the Embassy Suites in July. We are a family of six, which includes 2 teens. We booked connecting rooms. We had plenty of room. The rooms are quite large, and have a nice, convenient set up. Both rooms had a fantastic view of Niagara Falls. We all got a kick out of that. We needed a couple things...extra pillows, menus, etc...the staff was quick to respond and bring us what we needed. They were very helpful and friendly. We got ourselves into a nice routine there. We loved the hot breakfast bufft. They offer a large selection, and it's all complimentary. To us, that was such a saver. You can end up dropping $* just on breakfast with a large family, but not here. The hotel was very clean too. The location is better than any other hotel. It's the closest one to the falls. It was really great, all around. From our window we could see both falls and downtown. Our first night had fireworks and we sat on our bed and watched from the comfort of our room. Hotel was right next to incline railway and people mover stop. Didn't do any of the hotels packages, others were cheaper. Used our credit card and our bank gave top exchange. I didn't like TGI Fridays, dark and dingy. Ate free breakfast there but if Keg doesn't have a crowed they sat you and the room was more open. I knew I was paying for the view and the location which was our top priority. Keep kids away from goody basket on desk. Be warned, there is a tip jar around every corner at this hotel. I work in a hotel and have never seen this, ever. Did not like the fact valet parking was $20. Note: if you have a Players Advantage card for the Fallsview Casino across the street, park there it's free, we did...you can walk in and just sign up at the casino. TGI Friday's prices were awful, $17.95 for a drink and $25 for chicken fingers!? ridiculous! But overall the Suite was very nice and comfortable and the breakfast was good, staff was accomodating. It was great for a fun night out on the town. After our stay we didn't want to leave! Everything was perfect! The service was excellent. Our room had a giant jacuzzi tub and a full wall window overlooking both falls! The comp breakfast was far beyond our expectations!! The only thing to watch out for is that this hotel is valet only and there is a $20 fee. The only way we knew about this was from reading a review. Still I would HIGHLY recommend staying here! I decided that my wife needed some pampering for her 50th birthday so I brought her here from England! We had a whirlpool suite on the 29th floor; the view was just amazing! The service, staff and facilities are first-class. I thought the 'Keg' dining area was a little dull and dowdy and the food in TGI Friday's was very poor (and expensive). Other than that - terrific; a fitting birthday celebration We live nearby and go to the falls a lot. We wanted an overnight with the family for a short getaway. We were in awe of the service, great view of the falls from the room, and overall value. This is the place to stay at the falls. Awesome family getaway, even with young kids Hotel has the best of everything-view, location, staff, clean rooms. Everything about our trip was great, and we owe it to the Embassy Suites. It is a 4 star at hotel, with great rates. Trust me-you will love it!
Stayed here with 5 adults and 2 kids. Check in was fast, more then enough room for all of us, View of the falls was the best yet. Buffet Breakfast was included and was great. 2 restaurants in the building with many more around. Walking distance to all activities. Lots of value for money spent. WILL RETURN!! Had a business trip in early April, and the company put me up at the Embassy Suites. I really enjoyed it. The business center in the lobby made doing my work much easier, and so did the set up in the room. It is convenient when a hotel has a restaurant too, and this one has 2 great ones. TGI Fridays and The Keg, you cannot go wrong. Also, the complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and quick! Great location too. For my ""off"" time I walked right down to the falls. Nice! The Hotel and Room we stayed in, here at Embassy Suites was very nice. Spectacular views of the Horseshow falls ! Well worth the up charge ?We stayed in a King Suite on the 25th floor?Access to the fall?s and the views from our window are about the nicest thing?s we can say about this hotel! Be-forewarned ! Stay away from anything that has to do with the food in this Hotel!! Including the FREE Complementary Breakfast Buffet, unless you enjoy feeling like cattle being herded to the feed troth!! The ?KEG? restaurant was a joke, Service was extremely slow, and the food and portions were meager at best. Meal Prices everywhere in this Hotel are outrageously high; The TGI Friday?s downstairs was no better , $ *for 2 Hamburgers and Cokes. TGI Fridays offers a Breakfast Buffet, stay away !!! It is the same breakfast crap you get upstairs at the Free Buffet?Powdered Eggs and something that can only be described as ground up cardboard for a breakfast meat ? I can?t begin to tell you, how disappointed my Wife and I were with the lack of service and the poor quality of food during our stay ? You will Grow OLD waiting for the elevators, they are constantly packed 5 to 10 minutes waits were very common during our stay? My Wife and I understand that Niagara Falls is a Major Tourist Hub, But charging us $ *A NIGHT to park our car at this Hotel, MOST Diffently Should have been Included in the already HIGH Room prices? You are almost forced to pay it, either that, or walk with luggage in tow for 3 blocks, or more? We would recommend the Hotel, But ?Find other Places in which to enjoy your Meals" The Embassy Suites is such a comfy, classy place. The atmosphere is what anyone would like. A friendly staff and a clean environment. We loved the Keg restaurant & Bar right off the lobby. Also, having a TGI Friday's inside was cool too. They have a great view of the falls also. All the furniture seemed to be new and up to date. we were very impressed with the whole package. This hotel was in a great location. The rooms were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Our only complaint was they didn't have our room ready when we checked in but they did upgrade us to a better view. But then we got moved again because of a water leak and was woken up several times during the night. They did comp our parking and our room service that totaled $68.00. I felt like they should have comped more. But overall I would recommend this hotel. There is a tip jar everywhere; from the reservationist who checks you in to the chief who makes the omlet. Plus, the sign in the room recommended a $7.00 a day tip for maid. Too much. Let me make up my own mind who to tip and how muchI have stayed at many EmbassySuites; this is the first time the breakfast buffet was unacceptable. This
was my second time at this hotel this year so I knew what to expect
(good & bad). My husband, three year old and I checked in Sunday
Sept 24 thinking the place would be empty. WRONG! The place is always
busy and almost full. We booked a falls view room with a king size bed
and whirlpool tub (cost around $225/night) on floors 10-19. We were
upgraded to a higher floor with an even better view free of charge. On
arrival we were prepared for the ransom for parking so no heart attack
($20/night). Make sure you get everything out of the car because the car
will probably be parked off site a mile up the road at a gated parking
lot. My husband grab a cart for our bags and unloaded the car and
wheeled our stuff in avoiding the bellhop situation. Check In is a snap
and within 10 minutes we are in our room. My stay at this hotel was fantastic. Everything is so accessible from the Embassy. The falls are with in walking distance as well as the casino. There are restaurants everywhere. It isn't located in the old ""Carnival"" Cliffton Hill area of Niagara Falls, but you can get there in two minutes if you wanted to go. I can't say enough about how convenient The Embassy made my stay. They have valet parking which is a great plus. You can book all your tours right in the lobby. All this really makes it wasy for you to just enjoy your vacation Everything from the location to the service to the rooms are top-notch at The Embassy. AS soon as we pulled up we were very impressed with the location. It really is the closest hotel to the falls. You can walk right to all the action! The view from the suites are gorgeous! The hotel also gives a free breakfast buffet. A hot buffet, with every item imaginable. Only pluses for this hotel. You must stay here. I only have good things to say about the Embassy Suites. I was there in February on business, and it was quite enjoyable. They have a great business center right in the lobby-very convenient. The pool area was very nice too. They have a large fitness center with good equipment. The hallways were quiet, even thought the hotel seemed very busy. The complimentary buffet in the morning was fast and tasty. This hotel is the best I've stayed in. A frequent traveler like me is always looking for the best place to stay (at good rates too). This on is it! I felt very relaxed at this Embassy Suite. My only complaint was the selection on the breakfast buffet. I would like pancakes and bacon, but I felt I should stick with cereal & fruit. I had two selections for cereal - Fruit Loops and Cheerio's. The only fruit was melons. It would have been nice to have some Raisin Bran/Shredded Wheat and a mixture of fruit. The pool at 3 feet was a bit shallow, but much easier on the parents. Loved the Jacuzzi. Overall, a very nice hotel.
