We should have gone screaming into the night after we saw this hotel. But since it was late and we were tired we decided to stay. What a mistake. After our many years traveling throughout the world, this is without a question the worst motel we have ever stayed in. It was run down, the rooms were filthy, smelly, and in bad need of repair. (the lock on the door was broken off and the air conditioner was extremely loud) The pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned. They wanted to charge us $2.50 for some ice and the one vending machine (soft drinks) was broken.
This motel is awful! Room was dirty! Peeling paint in bathroom, dirty towel, & pee on toilet. Tile fallen off the jacuzzi surround on floor & it wouldn't start @ first. A/C barely worked. Old bed & you could feel the springs. Some sort of bugs in the room too!! No laundry. Poor cable reception w/out remote. No conceirge. No business center either! Staff would not give receipt, so I am not even sure what my card was billed. YUCK!! DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS HERE!! I stayed here and did not find it nearly so bad as the harshest critics here. The only critter was a harmless daddy longlegs (harmless spider) in the shower. The door does not have a deadbolt, which didn't bother me but I know would not be satisfactory to many. Didn't provide shampoo; had to take a walk down Lundy's Lane (a major shopping street) to get some. Many restaurants and a good outlet mall are within a five to fifteen minute walk. The price was very reasonable, even considering that this is not a glamorous place. There are also a number of other motels and hotels nearby if you want to stay in this part of town, which is not right by downtown or the Falls. These include a Ramada and a Days Inn, the latter pretty much across the street.

Don't believe the photo that accompanies this hotel. It must have been taken 25 years ago. I don't think they have done any maintainace since then. Everything was run down, filthy, unkept, smelly. The furniture in the room looked like it came from the city dump. Noisy window unit air-conditioner. Bad television with no remote. I could go on and on. This was listed as 2 star, but it was barely a 1 star. Door jam was busted like someone had kicked it in before. Dirty rooms, bugs, old bed you could feel tops of springs. Dirty towels. Urine on toilet seat. AC hardly worked. Cable had poor reception. falling tiles from jacuzzi surround + it wouldn't even start at first. Employee refused to give receipt when we checked out. What a nightmare! I think the Bates Motel in Psycho may have been better than this dump! We reserved a room ahead of our arrival, and when we arrived, we had some suspicions, so we asked to view our room 1st, and are we ever glad we did!! What a joke of a motel! Dirty, small, very worn...looked like a place for the hookers to use to turn tricks! Disgusting!! Do not stay here!!! The rooms
are gross, the first day that we stayed here we had to go buy our own
cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. |
