The value of this hotel is fantastic. You're within
close walking distance of the falls, the Casino, and Clifton Hill. The
rooms were well equipped, and had quiet air conditioning. We had booked
a romance package, and everything was in the room when we arrived that
was promised! Check in was quite slow, but the staff was very friendly
when it was our turn. I wouldn't recommend Perkins - it's overpriced,
and quite greasy. Parking was included too, in an indoor garage! We came back yesterday from there (August 2007). Queit place, clean room. I was reading reviews before leaving (but after i made reservation) and was kind of upset. People was complaining they didn't have tea pots and hair dryers. If you are planning to stay there, you need to know you don't have to take kettle or hair dryer with you!!!! In our room we had coffee and tea, hair dryer, iron, TV, interenet, fridge, and plenty of towels. Location is great, close to everything. We used sky bridge to get to waterpark. It took us a couple min to get there and we could even wear swimming suits. In waterpark we could take life jackets fro kids for free and towels are also provided. Yes, it wasn't cheap, but if you go to Niagra Falls you have to know that everything is very expensive! The only thing i didn't like that people from customer service don't mention about taxes which are not included in the rate fro the room and for the parking. Our room incl passes to waterpark cost $289 + $6 for parking in accordance to customer service, but we paid $341eventually.
When i was greeted, the clerk said ""Oh, I see you booked with ......"". After I had been told that my room was ready, I was told that it was an error, and I wwas subsequently shuffed to the back of the hotedl, the only room in the courtyard area with no external window or view of the yard, right beside the fire escape! I was also told that if I had booked with them, I would have received 4 waterpark passes, but because I tried to save money on line, wouldn't be given the tickets, at a $100.00 value. Was told to book with them next time a great value for the money. they are in the process of remodeling but what they have done is very nice, can't wait to see it when it is complete. the room had all new carpeting, paint and decor, the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. the staff was wonderful, we had a problem with the door lock on our room and they moved us within 10 minutes to a new room. within walking distance of the falls and all the major attractions. we visit the falls area quite often and this was our first time at the skyline but it won't be the last, we will be staying here when we visit again.

Plainly visible from Rainbow bridge, a little complicated to get to, but that's more a function of Niagara than the hotel. Parking not ideal, but not too bad and below market rate (a word of warning: Niagara Falls is VERY expensive. EVERYthing) We had 2 rooms in inner courtyard, where there is a family-oriented movie, I think every night. We didn't watch the movie but weren't bothered by it and slept soundly, without any undue noise. Rooms very clean (we got extra coffee and creams when we asked and a very nice note beside), staff very friendly. Location is excellent--easy walk to Clifton Hill and just a little farther to the Falls. Always felt safe (enough so that I let my kids, ages 13, 15,and 17, go back out on their own, from 9:00pm to 12:30 am. yeah, they were pushing it a little bit . . .). All in all, we had a great time and the Skyline was a big part of it. Strongly recommend without any hesitation. The staff were friendly and very fast at check-in, check-out, and any other needs we had. Rooms were extremely clean. They were working on improvements during our visit but that didn't hinder our visit at all. The front desk staff were awesome, very helpful. Pricing of the rooms is very reasonable. I didn't care much for the children running about, carrying on while I was trying to relax. My room didn't look like the updated picture. It was half modern, half like something from fifty years ago. However, the room WAS clean and I was rather impressed with the bathroom. I am sure when they are done renovating, it will be rather nice.. some areas are shabby looking but in time will improve. They do a good job of keeping it clean which is important. The staff was a bit slow on check in but they were very nice. We were able to leave our bags until we had to check in and also when we checked out. Perkins was very overpriced. Very close to everything which is great. Rooms were a little old, but great for the price, it's not like we stayed in our room all day so they were ok! Last minute we decided to travel up to Niagara Falls, so we got on line to find a hotel. We looked on both the US and Canadian side. This was not the lowest - but not that far off. The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel is setup much differently that other. They are about 20 rooms to a courtyard, so unfortunately in the morning you heard every door open and close. But for the price, and location, I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would go back again. Nice Clean Beds, Nice Bathrooms (recently renovated), excellent location, good parking facility, good value
We felt it was really nice at first, but the longer we stayed, the less we liked it. By the end of our trip we felt like Niagara was a huge tourist trap. Now that we've seen the falls, we don't feel the need to ever go back |
