This was a very nice hotel we stay from april 2-9 great hotel just about 4 blocks from the falls and about three blocks from clifton hill entretainment, the hotel is super clean, the pool small but soooo clean, the best bet is to go on the week so you can have the hotel all for you, we went on a monday and no one use the pool or jacuzzy until thursday when the hotel started to get pack. great front desk very helpfull people working there, go to there website for the reservation is more cheaper and if you need to cancel you wont have a problem to do it. we pay an average of 54 per night the hotel has a great view of the skylon building and the cassino is a great place for the price, it is true the beds are a bit hard but i guess is a matter of taste i would of like it a bit more soft myself but my husband told they we're perfect and for the price we pay we couldn't complain :) The
lobby, rooms and pool were clean & quiet and the staff was friendly
but unobtrusive. We ate at the attached resteraunt twice for breakfast,
yes it's slightly high in price but the food was good and the waitress
quick. I have originally booked two rooms because my friends were going to come with us and one room wasn't enough. But then at the end my friends bailed out on us, so we only needed one room. We notified the front desk which the staff were not friendly at all. We left the next day. I checked with the visa card company to make sure that I wasn't charged anything extra. I was told that there was a hold of $240 charged on my visa card. I called long-distance and the front desk staff said that the hold will be off after 2 business days. The hold was still on. Now, from $240, it went down to $160. I called again and the staff said that she will call me back but never did. After 11 days, there was still a hold on my visa account. I have sent an email to the manager. The manager was not sincere at all in trying to resolve this issue. She did not apologize and show concern for her me. Nowadays, excellent customer service is so important. This place I will never go back again. Quality
Hotel was more like a glorified inn or motel. The rooms were small, but
clean like the rest of the "hotel." It's location wasn't
nearly as close to the falls as I would have liked but it is walkable.
However, the fifteen minute walk is not exactly enjoyable during the
hot, humid summer weather. The Sheraton is much closer, about one or two
blocks from the American Falls. Or the Quality Inn which is cheaper is
located about three blocks. I would much rather have stayed at the
Courtyard by Marriot across the street than the Quality Hotel. |
All in all our stay was a comfortable and affordable one. The hotel had everything we were looking for- walking distance to major attractions- free parking- plenty of restaurants in the area- nice staff- pool- easy to find from the highway. The only disappointment is lack of ice machines and a continental breakfast which other Travelodges offer. Other than that the stay was top notch! Fair price with no surprises. VERY CLEAN! great location. Will come back to this hotel next time I'm in My husband and I watched for sales for a good week prior to our planned escape from the kids..the deals seemed spectacular, but we waited till the last minute thinking we might find an even better deal, however this didnt happen, in fact the prices only increased . we ended up reserving a nice room from the travelodge with a jacuzzi suite for $159 on a saturday night. The room was clean, had its own heater/airconditioner and had a bit of a view of the US falls through its tinted angled window (nice effect). We were on the 7th floor right when you got off the elevator and we found parking at the front doors when we arrived. The free parking was an asset, and we never moved our car at all as everything was within walking distance of the hotel. We visited both casinos and had fun, although we ended up buying a submarine for dinner as we refused to spend $35 each to eat dinner. The hotel has a nice pool, hot tub and sauna and a restaraunt on site...however do not ask for coffee (it costs $2.50 for one crappy tasting coffee!) Be sure to bring your own cream, sugar, as the hotel provides coffee in the rooms but if you cant stand powedered cream bring your own - $2.50 would buy you a small cream!
