My
stay at this hotel was very nice. The room and pool were clean and the
price was right.
We
just came back from our stay at the Villager Lodge. It was terrible! We
knew it wasn't a five star class motel, and that's fine we don't
normally stay at five star ones, but this place/management was terrible!
First, I'm glad this site exists, maybe people will read this and STAY
AWAY!
As our party of 4 (2 couples 2 rooms)wanted to see and do things I was
online checking for hotel reservations and info on the attractions too.
I used a niagara falls tourist site.
Anyway, on this site Villager Lodge advertised free HBO, free newspaper
....NEVER HAPPENED! The ad was misleading about the coffee, it's down in
the lobby ..no room coffee makers. I asked for one so I could make hot
tea...NEVER HAPPENED. The other couple had a printed out reservation for
Smoking room, they asked for 1 ashtray..NEVER HAPPENED. We wanted ice,
they gave us some ice from a private residential machine, said oh sorry
new machine is delayed in coming in. Wanted some ice in the evening...no
where to get it...NEVER HAPPENED.
2 cakes of soap in room, no shampoo, no kleenix.
I complained to this woman and her son, asked them to make things
right...NEVER HAPPENED.
When check out came again I asked this woman to adjust the bill and make
things right, but she would switch from speaking English to I think
Indian. I asked her if she realized I could dispute this charge on my
charge card, I just got jibberish and that I planned on some how getting
the word out about how we were treated. I got jibberish. Well here's my
consumer's 2 cents and I will contact my credit card company AND IT WILL
HAPPEN!
I
stayed at this hotel last weekend. I didnt read the reviews before i
stayed at this property, but i read them when i came back from my nice
stay at the Villager Lodge. These people are completly incorrect. When i
stayed there with my 2 kids we had a great time.
Our room was so clean and the exterior of the property was well
maintained. The pool was beautiful, heated and looked great. When we
checked in the lady at the front desk was very friendly. If we needed
anything she would get someone to bring it to he room.
There was also a restaurant across the street, basketball net for the
kids, little playground, bbq area. Everything was close by.
I do recommend this hotel to people who want to have a nice time. The
rate was great. I will stay there again for sure in the summer when i go
back.
Front
desk staff are unpleasant, no icemaker, ice comes from private freezer and
smelled like the freezer, heater does not readily work, no soap in one of
the room I book. there are other better AND less expensive choices that
this. keep looking..

The
Villager Inn is a nice place to stay with your family while visiting
Niagara Falls. Very clean rooms and friendly staff.
My
wife and I went to Niagara Falls to celebrate our wedding anniversary and
stayed at the Villager Premium Motel on Lundy's Lane for the two nights.
It was conveniently located, staff was friendly and courteous and rooms
were satisfactory.
They advised us to purchase the daily bus pass with unlimited use for the
day @ $6.00 each, to avoid problems with parking thereby allowing for a
more relaxed day.
Along with the evening fireworks, Maid of the Mist ride, the I-Max
theatre, and numerous retaurants as well as the butterfly conservatory, it
was a very enjoyable weekend. The bus drivers on the shuttle service were
very helpful and professional. All in all it was a great weekend and we
intend to go back again later in the summer. Thanks Niagara Falls ! My
boyfriend and I stayed at the Villager Lodge and loved. Having had to
change our reservations many times due to travelling problems, the staff
was always very accomadating. I had read some of the reviews before and
was unsure what to think. However, upon arrival, we were quite pleased. We
got a large room (larger than most that we had stayed at on our trip) with
a nice king size bed for a very decent price. The room was clean and very
quiet. The motel is far enough from the major attractions on Lundy's Lane
that the noise doesn't keep you up at night, but close enough that you can
get around quite easy.
I would definetly stay there again.
This
is an awful place to stay. We booked it because everywhere else prices
skyrocketed, but that was a huge mistake.
First of all, this is a typical motel, not a hotel. Two floors, on the
side of the road, rooms facing and surrounding the parking lot with A/C
units in the windows.
We were greeted in the office with windows covered with dust and dirt. The
room for some reason was heated to 80F when it was only 65F outside. To
cool it off there was only one small A/C unit in the window, and windows
themselves didn't open fully: only a little bit. The room was
non-smocking, but either due to the high temperature or because previous
tenants overlooked the rules, it was full of stench.
And despite the room being non-smoking, there was a sofa and a table with
an ashtray right outside the room on the public balcony! We booked a room
with the kitchen, but probably should have taken a regular one on the
other side of the building, since the smell of curry coming from the
neighbors was still strong in the air despite the late hour.
After 15 minutes of trying to bring some fresh air through the open doors,
unable to look for other places so late in the night (1am), we left the
A/C running and went to sleep, sweating, only to find ourselves bitten by
some tiny tick-like blood suckers.
From that moment it was pretty much decided that we'll cancel the
remaining two nights of stay no matter what the penalties would be.
Daylight revealed dirty pillows with some green toothpaste-like substance
on them, the bloodsuckers have vanished, except for a few that we squeezed
on sight, and free wireless internet turned out to be very useful for find
some last-chance rooms in decent hotels closer to the river.
