We
were worried about this hotel because of the terrible reviews. However, we
were extremely pleased with the accomodations. The office staff was
pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean (though dated) and big (we were
able to put a blow up bed in with the queen beds)! There was a free
shuttle that took us to the heart of Niagara. The pool was clean.
We were here for a two night package at $229 in July. The outside of the motel look O.K. The staff are very friendly. The room was clean and a good working order except one of the light made an annoying humming noise. They offer a free shuttle to the casino and falls. This hotel was the pits! it looked pretty good from the outside but the room was awful! the smell hit as soon as you opened the door. there was a huge stain on the carpet. the air conditioner did not work and we had to keep the window open at all times. i never even took my shoes off. the package we got from there was pretty good and niagra was beautiful but that hotel was awful. i will never stay there and would not recommend anyone else either. We have just returned from being at this hotel. We had booked a room for 5 nights and could barely stay the one. My husband and I are not fussy people but the accumulation of little (and not so little) things made this one night stay very unpleasant. The room was dirty and reeked of air freshener-to cover up the smell of mould. The carpet was dirty and stained, and there was trash in the trash can from the previous visitor. The convertor did not work. The wallpaper was bubbling and peeling off the wall and the whole place was disgusting and dirty overall. We slept without blankets. We will NEVER return. When we complained about the condition of the room (within 5 minutes of arrival) the front desk woman said there was nothing she could do...we were stuck having to stay or lose out money. |
Came
here with my boyfriend and his son. We couldn't believe how clean the
place was. We expected it to be a hotel not a motel, when we made the
reservations. We were so glad that we decided to stay here after we found
out few things about the hotel next door. Well
we took a chance and booked this place, even with the mixed reviews
because...it was cheap. If the place were cleaner and had some minor
repairs, it would be OK. But the carpet was nasty, with crunchy bits and
lots of stains. It's just hard to relax, when you don't feel like you're
in a clean environment. We spent as little time as possible there, but
enjoyed our stay in Niagara Falls which is a lovely and lively place
indeed! |
