We chose the Sheraton Fallsview after reading reviews on this forum, and
were very pleased that we did. It is in a superb, quiet location, right
by the Horseshoe Falls.
Check in was quick and efficient, and we were absolutely amazed by the
view from our room on the 31st floor. We had a family suite (one room
with two double beds, one with a king, two bathrooms, one with whirlpool
bath) with floor to ceiling windows with unobstructed views of both the
American and Horseshoe Falls. Absolutely perfect. Rooms were spotlessly
clean, and the beds extremely comfortable.
The buffet breakfast was very good, with the same lovely views over the
falls from the dining room. We had no problems whatsoever - friendly
staff, lovely accommodation, quick lifts, good food.
We would definitely stay at the Sheraton Fallsview again.

My
fiance took me to the Sheraton FallsView for our one year anniversary. I
breath was taken away by the view we had from our room. We were on the
12th floor with a whirlpool jacuzzi and a fantastic view of the falls.
The falls were lit at night and it set the mood. Might I add, the price
was not bad for the room we got. The only interruption were our along
with a couple floors above us water pipe making noise. Needless to say,
you wouldn't be able to sleep in past 8a if others above you are taking
a shower at that time. If the hotel is busy, the elevators do take a
long period of time - we waited just under 5 minutes to get one.
Overall, the rooms were clean, enough towels were supplied each day and
the staffing was professional. I would recommended this hotel to anyone
who wants a getaway that is close to home.

What
a disappointment!! The hotel pool was a cesspool of germs and the hot
tub had a ring mildew. The rooms were not very clean. A previous guest
must have spilled something on the night table which had not been
cleaned and when I moved the phone to use it I found a ring of sticky
goo under the phone and under the lamp. My six year old daughter usually
takes baths but learned to adjust to a shower very quickly because I
would not let my dog soak in the hotel tub. Parking we were told would
be $20.00 for our entire stay of 5 days only to arrive and be told that
was a mistake and it was $20.00 per day plus tax. BEWARE OF THE TAXES
VERY EXPENSIVE. Everything was very expensive. Friday's Restaurant
charged $3.99 for a diet coke and $12.99 for a cup of soup and salad.
My advice check out other destinations where you will get more for your
money. Not a family friendly destination.

we
stayed here while visiting niagara falls. the hotel room view is
beautiful. the room size is good - deluxe or above and our only
complaint is the walls are thin so we heard the baby next door crying
all night. we will be back

The
hotel has no shuttle services, and it is located furthest south of the
falls area in comparison to the other 4-star hotels. However, it is not
far from the incline railway, which took my girlfriend and me right down
to Horseshoe Falls and a People Mover stop. Using the "Adventure
Pass," we rode the incline railway and the People Mover for an
entire day for free. This Sheraton was also the cheapest hotel with a
clear view of the falls on our weekend in September: $260 per night on
Expedia after taxes for a 28th floor "superior fallsview"
room. There were a few dark specks on the windows, as some other
reviewers have mentioned, but that did not detract from the view at all.
The front desk clerks and the concierge were very friendly.
Other posters have said that it is not worth the extra money for a
fallsview room when you are going to view them from the ground anyway.
If you are travelling on a budget, or if you are spending many days at
the falls, then it may be wise to stay in a hotel without the view. But
if you're spending just a short time, or you'd like to impress a loved
one, then it's worth the extra money. There's just something mezmorizing
about waking up and going to sleep to that view. In the morning, we woke
up to the red sun rising over the mist and the river sparkling with
light. At night, we saw the colored lights on the falls from our beds as
we went to sleep. And the slight roar of the falls makes the experience
even better.
If I return to the falls for another visit, I'd stay at the Sheraton
again, especially if it has the lowest price for a high floor, fallsview
room again.

We
booked a two night Family Package at the Sheraton Fallsview from Aug
17-19 (Sunday through Tuesday). We opted for the least expensive
Fallsview room, and what a deal! As we drove through the tickytack to
get to the hotel, I was afraid we had made a mistake even going to
Niagara Falls. But when we checked in, the service clerk was lovely and
welcoming, and asked if we had seen the falls yet. We said no, and she
said, "then your first glance will be from your room". And
how~!
We were on the 9th floor and our view was great-(the pictures I took are
my screen savers now). I would have to be a poet to describe the awe the
falls still inspire-even my kids would just sit by the window and stare.
Definitely, definitely the view is worth the extra bucks. I even got up
at 3am and looked out.
The Family Package included 2 full breakfast buffets for the 4 of us,
and a dinner buffet. Food prices are outrageous in Niagara Falls, so
this was probably the biggest savings, esp. since my husband and
teenager eat a LOT at a buffet. The desk clerk adjusted the rate for my
teenager, because the family package is for children under 12, but it
was only $13 extra. Also included in the package was tickets to the
Journey behind the Falls, Maid of the Mist , the Whitewater Walk and the
Butterfly Conservatory. Total for the room with great view, three meals
and all those tickets? $500 American!
I would recommend the hotel to any and everyone, and hope to return
someday.

I
wanted us to stay at the most luxurios hotel in Niagara Falls and our
expectations were indeed met at the Sheraton.
I booked a room on the hotel's web site and got a package with breakfast
for 2 included. I also requested an early check in (around 1:00 p.m.). I
received a quick, curteous e-mail from an agent at the hotel thanking me
for the reservation and saying that they would do their best regarding
the check in.
This hotel looks very impressive from the outside. What is definitely
important is that the view from all falls view rooms is unobstructed
unlike most of the other hotels in the vicinity.
We arrived a little bit before 1:00 p.m. The check in was very quick,
and when I asked if our room was ready, this nice girl said: "I
will check, but if your room is not ready, I will put you into one that
is".
The room itself was fantastic. We were on the 25th floor with the most
stunning falls view I've ever seen! When we entered the room, all we
could say was "Wow!" Windows are from floor to ceiling and the
view is absolutely breathtaking. While my son was taking his afternoon
nap, my parents and I pulled the chairs to the window and didn't move
for almost an hour. The room was excellent, very clean, beds were really
comfortable, we could control the air-conditioning in the room, in one
word, fantastic. The bathroom was very clean and sparkly, plenty of hot
water... The only downfall was the fridge in the room, which was tiny
and empty. I would expect a stocked mini-bar in this kind of a hotel.
Also, there were only two bags of regular coffee for the coffee maker,
so if you decided to have your coffee in the afternoon, there was
nothing left for the morning.
In the late evening, we stayed in our room, admiring the view again,
this time there was a light show on, which was again breathtaking. We
somehow did not feel like leaving the room with this fantastic view, we
were just glued to the window.
The food at the hotel was very good for dinner, although quite
expensive; however, breakfast was average, buffet both times.
Another little problem I encountered was that the check in staff did not
have correct information with respect to the "early bird
special" for dinner, advertised on the web site. When I asked the
girl about the special, she told me that yes, it was available from 5-7
p.m. every day. I asked again at the concierge, it turned out there was
no special at all, it had been discontinued for a while.
The coupon that I had printed from the hotel web site for a $4 meal
discount obviously looked unfamiliar to our waitress, but she honoured
it anyway.
Another thing was the parking garage, there was no elevator to the
hotel, so we carried our luggage over a flight of stairs and through
several corridors until we reached the elevators. The pool was quiet
(there was nobody there), but was somewhat small for what I had
expected.
The check out was very expeditious. The same girl was very kind,
provided a detailed invoice and even smiled and wished us a safe trip
home.
Finally, we will always remember this short stay at the Sheraton. I
would really, really recommend this hotel to everyone, and fallsveiw
rooms are so worth the extra money. Our stay was quite expensive, but
well worth every cent. If you would like excellence for your money, you
won't regret spending a few dollars more here. I would definitely go
back.

I
stayed in the Parlor Room...very nice...tall ceilings, crown molding,
King bed, and breathtaking views of both falls. Two walls were
completely made of windows...with one that opened up to a very nice
balcony.

The
coach had food stuff on the inside on my 1st day upon entering the room.
I mentioned to the housekeeping staff. During the night of the 24th the
toilet didnot stop running all night. It was broken and couldnot flush.
I told the front desk upon departure; and a repair man was sent to fix
it. Unfortunatley I got no rest during the final night of my stay.

We
arrived tired and hungry and the reception staff could not be more
helpful and very quickly had us registered and off to our room. Room
staff were very good as our percolator decided to act up! The view is
restricted but the height and the good weather made up for it. Very
comfortable beds and room clean and spacious. Access to all areas
excellent, parking is expensive we had a hire car so left it and walked
everywhere.
The restaurant on first floor opened at strange times and would have
loved to have a pre dinner drink at the window seats - the view in there
was awesome! The bar on ground floor was noisy with loud music. Eating
place across from there was OK but mainly pizzas etc. We were tired
shopping and just wanted to sit and have a drink and a coffee. This was
the only downside of the whole place

We
went to Niagara Falls in September. We researched online, all the
accomodations available and decided on the Sheraton. Great choice! We
made our reservations directly through the hotel. The clerks were very
helpful and friendly. After several calls (every time I went to their
website, I found a room I liked better) we took the "residence
suite". It was beyond words. An entire glass wall overlooking the
falls on the 16th floor. We had a separate living room with fireplace,
kitchenette, full dining table, separate bedroom (the most comfortable
bed) and a bathroom the size of most guest rooms. You can really work
some great deals either online or by calling direct. Well worth the
money - wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

We
stayed in a family suite (2 adjoining rooms, 1 king, 2 queens, 2 baths)
over Easter weekend and were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were
very clean and tastefully decorated in muted tones, the beds were
incredibly comfortable with fine linens, thick comforters. Our teenagers
found their way to the business center to check their e-mails. The best
feature of the rooms is the spectacular view. We were on the 25th floor,
fallsview. It's a great view of the rapids and horshoe falls. Niagra
Falls restaurants are notoriously bad and overpriced. I wish we had
checked in sooner and brought take-out to enjoy our room even more. But
that's what we did for breakfast the following morning, lingering to
enjoy the amazing view.

I
had originally booked a hotel at the Sheraton on the Falls, but after
reading a lot of terrible reviews, I made a quick move, cancelled the
room at that Sheraton and chose this one. Wow, was I ever happy. Having
never been to the Sheraton on the Falls, I can't really judge it, but
after reading bad review after bad review, I did not want to take a
chance.
THIS hotel, however, was an amazing choice! I would like to offer one
piece of advice...if you are looking for an amazing view, lots of
privacy, and a wonderful stay...book a Fallsview room – you only live
once – spend the money, it is worth it!
I booked the Executive Fallsview Room - 2 Queen Size Beds - Located
above the 24th floor. Although there were only two of us, I booked the
one with the two queen size beds because I heard that the rooms with the
single king size beds are located only ON the 24th floor, and there is a
ledge below that restricts the view. Our room was located on the 29th
floor of 31 floors.
We arrived around 3:30-4:00 and the check-in/registration was fairly
busy, but there was a front end hotel manager there keeping everyone in
order and reassuring everyone that they would not wait too long...and he
was right, I waited about 7-10 minutes, not too bad at all. When you
check in, you will be asked if you have a vehicle, and if so, if you
want to park for $10/day, good price for the location. There is parking
on-site, which seemed really busy, but they also had a parking lot
(where we parked) across the street at the back of the hotel, two minute
walk, well worth the aggravation of trying to find a spot right on-site.
Having been to Niagara Fall before, we have eaten at a lot of the places
around Clifton Hill, so we decided to change it up a bit…there is a
nice small Italian eatery on the ground floor of the hotel. We went
there around 5:30, and we were the only ones in the entire restaurant!
It had a great atmosphere and the pizza was really good! There is an
advertisement in the rooms for 1 large pizza, 2 toppings, and 2 pops for
$19.99 or so, but we didn’t read closely enough…it was only for
take-out orders, but our waitress was very nice and gave it to us for
the cheaper price of $19.99. Great service!
To add a couple more points that most people look for when choosing a
hotel…the elevators were quick, the rooms were modern and decorated
very nicely, everything worked in the rooms, water, toilets, shower,
fridge, vault, TV, alarm clock, heating/cooling system, locks on doors
– everything was in very good shape and working order except for one
light switch that was banged in…still worked though!
Overall this hotel is an excellent choice, I would recommend it to
anyone looking to spend a single night, a few nights, or even more in
Niagara Falls. Great for couples, and families – awesome choice!

My
family and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Sheraton Fallsview in
Niagrara Falls, Canada. Our 29th floor room was spacious, attractive and
very clean with a pair of wonderfully comfortable queen beds topped with
lots of fluffy pillows. Best of all, it had a jawdroppingly awesome view
of both falls. We found out that to actually get a good view of the
falls, and not just of the mist that can rise to great heights, rooms
need to be above the tenth floor. One morning the mist was easily up to
the 20th floor.
We originally had taken a room at the Radisson Fallsview next door - big
mistake - basic, rather barebones rooms and beds. We moved to the
Sheraton Fallsview first thing the next morning after comparing several
nearby hotels. Word to the wise - be sure that what you are being
offered as "Falls view" does indeed have a full view - not a
partial one. We skipped the Marriott after discovering that what one
person at its front desk had assured us would be a great fallsview room,
another said would only have a partial view.
There are two distinctly different Sheratons in Niagara Falls. One has a
casino attached and is next to the lively (tacky) touristy area of
Clifton Hill, the other overlooks the falls and is near the adorable,
old fashioned incline railway which makes getting down the escarpment to
the park and the falls a treat. To each his own.

The
room and the view was gorgeous. The hotel had some plumbing problem that
caused a jackhammer sound in the room anytime anyone in any other room
used the shower. It took the hotel 2 days to figure out how to fix it.
We did not get any rest those 2 days nor did we receive any compensation
for it. Not even a drink voucher. The restaurant, La Piazza, in the
hotel was way overpriced for stale food. THAT was a pure disappointment.
We spent $18 for 3 thawed bagels and 1 crossiant, all of which tasted
old. The concierge was not very helpful. She did not seem to want to
part with her brochures of the area. There is also no shuttle service
offered at this hotel to any of the sites. This hotel is at the end of
the strip, you either have to walk or cab it to the tourist areas
around. The other hotels all offer shuttle services.

First
off let me thank my fellow Tripadvisor.com users for helping us decide
to stay at this hotel over the past Labor Day weekend, we were not
disappointed.
This hotel is well situated with a totally unobstructed view of the
Horseshoe and American Falls. A continuing view up the river toward the
Peace Bridge is somewhat obstructed by the Marriott, but this is not a
major issue. The hotel is about a 200m walk from the Inclined Railway
that for $1(Can) will take you down from the elevated Plateau on which
the hotel sits to the common Falls area about 75m below.
Our room (deluxe, w/Whirlpool and Bay window) on the 19th floor had an
amazing view; I mean really breath taking. The bay window I speak is
noted in your booking rate and actually extents beyond the building
fascia so you can walk out into it and fell as though you are standing
on air above the Falls. The bath area is brilliant with a large
two-person whirlpool bath and one wall of the bath area is etched glass
over looking the rest of the room and affording a view right out the
window from the tub. The room was very clean and the bed was large and
very comfortable. It should be noted that just about any Falls side room
from the 4th floor up should give you a great view of the Falls as the
hotel itself is already elevated as I mentioned above.
The staff was friendly and very thoughtful.
The only reasons I did not rate this hotel at 5 stars was because of my
thought that the common areas of the hotel were a bit sub-par being on
the ground floor (Bar and Coffee shop). Although the restaurant on the
second floor was large and well appointed and afforded a good view
during a very, very well stocked breakfast buffet for $14 (Can). The
second reason for the reduced score was the paid parking, not the fact
that it was paid, at $10 (Can) it was quite reasonable, but rather
during our stay the barricades were always up, anyone could have parked
there and more to the point anyone could have left with our vehicle.
And finally we were charged $1.50 (Can) to dial a toll free 800 number
from our room to use our calling card, it was explained to us that the
Sheraton Corporate headquarters had recently imposed this fee; the hotel
staff were sympathetic but there it is.
But all and all it was a great stay and we will without a doubt return.

My
husband and I just returned from our third visit to the Sheraton
Fallsview Hotel. This hotel is fabulous! Service is very friendly and
the rooms are the best we've ever stayed in, spacious and clean, and
with the most comfortable beds - we inquired and got information on
buying our very own Sweet Sleeper Bed! We especially like the location
of this hotel, far enough away from the "tacky-tourisy" part
of the city, but still close enought to all that you'd want to see and
do - casino, attractions, restuarants. The hotel is currently undergoing
a lobby renovation, but most of the work, we understand has been done
and they are just fininshing up. Looks very nice, dark wood trim, new
tile flooring. We plan to visit again in the early fall and try out
their new golf course Thundering Waters. Can't wait!!!

The
hotel was comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit small. The elevators
were very slow. We were on the sixth floor and took the stairs several
times due to the elevator being so slow. A parking fee of 20.00 is a bit
much. The location was nice as it was only a short walk to the falls.
The bedrooms were comfortable. We would stay there again.

This
was by far one of the best hotels, if not THE BEST, hotel we've ever
stayed at! We stayed on the 28th floor facing the falls and the room
just took our breath away!!! The wall facing the falls was wall-to-wall
windows! It was so incredible that this was the first time our family
actually slept with the shades open. You don't even need to leave your
room, as you can view the falls perfectly from your very own room! Not
to mention the beds in our room were so comfortable and the room itself
was laid out very beautifully! THIS IS THE HOTEL TO STAY AT WHEN
VISITING NIAGARA FALLS! We will definitely be back!

Before
going to the Sheraton Fallsview, I must have read hundreds of reviews.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic getaway weekend close to
our home in Toronto but far enough away to relax. We chose Niagagra
Falls as it had the best assortment of newer/larger hotels.
We were looking for a room with a double jet tub and found several of
these types of rooms in the Niagara area.
The reviews I read didn't reassure me of the consistency in the service,
however, we found a deal on the Sheraton website and decided to try it
out.
This hotel is wonderful! After visiting the falls MANY times, I thought
I had seen the falls... Boy was I wrong! The view from the 5th (yes,
only the 5th) floor of the hotel was incredible. We were advised by the
frontline staff to take a room on a lower floor to avoid the mist
getting in the way of our view. They were right, we had a clear view, a
quiet room, and a wonderful stay.
The pool is very nice. The hot tub is very relaxing and the entire hotel
is very clean.
Our room was a 700 sq ft King room with double jet tub, gas fireplace,
kitchenette and living area. It was $203 CDN on the Starwood website on
promotion (normally $239 CDN).
The bed was incredibly comfortable (see the many reviews on the Sweet
Sleeper) and the staff were very nice (they never told us that it cost
an extra --$20-- to park in the parking lot so we questioned them on
checkout and they rectified the situation).
We arrived before check-in and the staff welcomed us to use the
facilities (pool and hot tub) while we waited.
The only reason I did not give this hotel an "excellent"
rating is becuase I did not use all of their services and cannot comment
on the food, the restaurants, the valet service, or extensive requests
to the concierge.

this
is by far the best hotel in ontario. When going on a mini vacation with
my bf, i dont even consider going anywhere else. Food and view are
outstanding. Its also great that when i called the main desk people
would greet me with my name. Some people say that service is not always
great in some hotels, but everyone needs to remember, its your own
personnal approach that sets the tone of your encounters with staff, and
besides everyone has had a bad day in their life, hotel staff should be
allowed to be human aswell. For my personnal experience at this hotel:
Service was quick and wonderful.
I've stayed here three times already in the last 4 years, and im gearing
up for another shot. Its a 10 min walk from the casino. Only thing that
----- is that the restaurant could be on a higher floor to allow for a
better view of the falls than seeing it through a mountain of trees but
thats no big deal.
Rooms were clean, and the housekeeping team is polite and considerate.
The packages are a great option and we have booked in this hotel only
through the packages available.
The heavenly bed is truly amazing. The mattress does do justice to my
finicky back, and the comforters make me feel like im sleeping in my own
bed at home.
Like i said before, ive been to this hotel three times, and i found
consistency in the service which is wonderful, this hotel does not
disapoint. If booking i recommend booking executive rooms with fallsview
at the very least. Floor to ceiling, wall to wall window. I could not
unglue myself from the view. Although some of the rooms come with doors
that connect to the rooms next door. although they remain locked, they
do allow for a bit of access noise to creep through, not pleasant if you
have inconsiderate neighbours like i did last time, but thats not the
hotels fault.
Parking was between 10- 20$ a night depending on the time of year that
we went. Although not that expensive, but for that price it would have
been nice to see physical evidence of security on the parking lot and
perhaps a roof over the parking. Lack of shuttle bus to and from sights
is a tad annoying, since the hotel is the furthest away from the center
of it all. But luckily the parking pass has in and out privallages, so
those cancel eachother out.
there is a few stores inside the hotel, which came quite in handy for
getting tylenol or even souvenirs. they also had a store with jewelry
and handbags, but i never went in.
the swimming pool entrance is off to the side of the elevators on the
first floor. kinda scary when ur self concious and dont wanna walk
around in a suit and towel near the main lobby, so ive never used it
yet.
But all in all, i love this hotel, starwood preferred points also makes
this hotel worth staying at to allow me to rake up points to get free
hotel stays.
I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants 100% unobstructed view of the
horseshoe falls.

enjoyed the walk to the falls. We liked that it was on the end of the

The
location was definitely a bonus, but I was disappointed by the
"extras" you had to pay for. Parking, for one, is not
included. That was another $8/day. And use of the spa, including the
exercise facilities, sauna and whirlpool was a further $10/day. We payed
$156/night (during the off-season, I might add), and I think those
things should have been included. One more disappointment was the rooms
were dusty and kind of grimy considering the level of hotel I was
expecting.

My
husband and I wanted to stay at a hotel close to the new Fallsview
Casino and remembered the Sheraton we stayed at in Cleveland had a Sweet
Sleeper Bed (a very comfortable night). We thought 260.00-plus per night
was rather pricey (though it DID include a free breakfast buffet).
According to the online reservation form, the fee for parking was
minimal and the hotel offered a free shuttle to the casino. Neither of
these statements is correct; the on-site parking fee is $20.00 U.S. per
day, and the free shuttle had been discontinued just prior to our
reservation date.
The room was spacious and clean, quiet and comfortable, the 3
restaurants offered great food, if a bit overpriced, but the overall
value of the hotel was not worth the price we paid for a city view. We
will not stay at this hotel again, not when Canada offers so many
choices at much more reasonable rates.

Beautiful
room, view and everything was grand - especially the bed and the
pillows!!! Because of a snafu with Hertz, we were a day late getting in.
I called hotel and explained but they have 24 hour cancellation policy
that is set in stone. Person at front desk said they would upgrade us to
fallsview room to make up for having to pay for the previous night. That
was appreciated. Handy to getting down to the falls and all the activity
we were interested in. Staff very friendly and helpful and would stay
there again - only would make sure we would get there on time!!

Couldn't
wait to get there, couldn't wait to leave. Don't go over March Break! It
was packed! The pool was closed 2pm-4pm, for regular cleaning. This was
despite the fact that I was told, come anytime, it's open until 10pm.
When it did open, there was a 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait to get in, because
all the kids/families had been waiting for so long. The elevators were
beyond slow...everyone was taking the stairs instead, after waiting
10-15 minutes for the elevators. If you got an elevator, we all talked
about how unorganized the hotel was, and how they ABSOLUTELY can not
perform at full capacity. The staff was useless and no help at all,
especially at the "events" they had lined up for the kids.
Anything FREE was packed and totally disorganized. If you had to pay, it
was WAY overpriced. The rooms were clean and had a beautiful view.
Anything we did, that was fun, was outside this hotel. DON'T get trapped
into going next door at Denny's, I found out later that it's the MOST
EXPENSIVE Denny's in all of North America! Seriously, unless you like
paying almost $14 (w/o tip) for bacon and eggs only. I am a local...and
would definately NOT recommend this site during any peak time.

I've
visited Niagara Falls four times in the last 5 years, but never stayed
there before. I decided this time to treat my partner to a special time
and booked a room with a view of the Falls.
From the 24th Floor, the scene was truly magnificent and very much worth
the extra money. Just upstream of the Horseshoe, and set atop a hill,
you get maximum impact with the sun rising through the mist - I grabbed
some spectacular shots from the hotel window. The executive room itself
was quite nice with all the usual trappings - fridge, safe, big TV,
desk.
The other aspects of the hotel are certainly above average, too - the
food is pricey but rather good; the pool is OK; the bar is quite plush.
I'd say you get 4 star treatment - not the best but not bad.
I was disappointed, however, come check-out time in that we had a 20
minute wait behind only two other groups; and I was charged $20 (plus
tax) for self-parking my car.

I
don't think that there is a bad word to be said about this hotel. It was
fantastic! Clean, large rooms, comfy beds, polite, friendly and helpful
staff, and in a great location. We didn't have a fallsview room, but
they made up for that by putting windows on the floors as you get out of
the lift so you can stand and gaze at the falls from there, or take
advantage of the observation deck which again gives you a good view! We
didnt eat there as we only stayed one night, but the rib restaurant in
the Radisson hotel is a pretty good place if you want somewhere! Its not
the closest hotel to the falls, but its as close as you can get and you
can still hear the thundering water! Would definately stay here again if
I were to return to Niagara!

So
many others review so many aspects of the actual visit to the
Falls/tours/packages,etc, that I will stick with just the hotel
experience. We traveled to Cananda (first time) with our 3 children,
ages 6,9 and 12 during a beautiful week in mid June. This hotel
wasbeautifully decorated and maintained, room far exceded our
expectations. The most comfortable bed I have slept in. Our Suite on the
25th floor was spotlless,lovely,comfortable,huge,and , of course,
looking at the Horshoe Falls from our floor to ceiling windows(i mean
you are practically on top of them) was breathtaking. Spectacular at
night. I founf staff here at the hotel (as well as just about everywhere
we went in the Niagra Falls area) to be very pleasant and eager to
please. (The staff who 'work' at an all-inclusive BEaches resort we
stayed at in Jmaica this past SPring should all be required to stay here
for a week to learn the meaning of 'Customer Service"...) Even if
yo had 4 children, or brought a grandparetn, etc along, the room would be
super. First Room had 2 double beds and bathroom/fridge large
desk/dresser/TV and a 'working firplace' Parents adjoining room had King
bed.TV,etc, and huge newly -done bathroom.
Ate inthe small ITalian restaurant downstairs, which again was welcoming
and perfectly good quality (about 'Olive Garden' level of food).
Everyone on these sights goes on and on about the cost, but we found it
only slightly higher than our usual cost s of eating here at home in
Southeatern Penna/closest to Phila. (Did not use the Main Dining Room
with the voucher)
THe package tour was reasonable, very easy to use, and the location of
this hotel is perfect for getting down to the Falls/attractions quickly.
Our '5-stops pacage was just right for our family/ages. We only used 4
the first very full day, and made the 5th (Botanic Gardens ) a stop on
our way ourt of Canada to NY. One problem area with hotel was a
non-working fridge when we arrived (had stocked up on juices/drinks
before crossing border). The problem was taken care of immediatley, fixed
while we were at dinner, with a note of apology for 'inconvenience', and
a voucher for an in-room movie. Highly reccommend this for a 3-4 day
visit.
NOTE*** the friendly waitstaff informed us that we were visiting during
the 'BEst week of the year" (last week in June). Weather was
lovely, and Canadian schools were actually still in session--but
everyhting is gearing up for high tourist season, so all is open
late/fully staffed, etc, yet crowds have really not started arriving. I
am sure this went a long way in a great experience!

We
thought we had booked Sheraton "On the Falls,' but ended up in
fallsview instead. It was awful. The staff were incredibly rude (even
though they mentioned the 'Sheraton Promise' constantly). We had booked
on the 23rd floor, but were put on the 4th floor, and could barely see
anything because of trees and dirt on the window. The restaurants were
terrible and the room was pretty dirty. We stayed there one night
because they refused to let us check out. The next day, we moved to the
more centrally located and much friendlier (even much cheaper!) Sheraton
On The Falls and had a wonderful conclusion to our vacation.

Although
hotel location and facilities are in great location, hotel staff require
further improvement in their interaction with guests.

In
our opinion this was a very nice hotel. The view was amazing! The staff
was very accomodating throughout our one week stay.(except housekeeping)
The few things that disappointed us were no shuttle serice to any of the
attractions. The hotel is literally the last at the end of everything. A
HIKE ON FOOT! Lots of the other 4 star hotels had shuttles on the roads.
We also felt complimentary coffee in the lobby would have been a nice
touch. Instead you must order coffee (Starbucks) from the cafe in the
lobby to go. There were coffeemakers in the rooms but I'm not crazy
about their sweetener offered or the powdered creamer. So we racked up
quite a coffee bill or suffered until we left the hotel in the morning.
They did accept pets but housekeeping, lets just say, did not come daily
whether the dog was there or not. We'd go out with the dog hoping to
come back to a clean room and it wouldn't be done. Then I called and
they came and ASKED do you want your beds made? Of course I want my beds
made I'm on vacation! I had to ask please clean the bathroom it hasn't
been done in two days(because the dog???) This hotel was VERY expensive
and I guess we just expected a little more. The pool was also very small
compared to the other big hotels.

My
wife and I and my parents stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel for
three nights in November. The room was very nice and the view was great
however the package included breakfast each day and one dinner. The
service in the restaurant was terrible and the food was cold and two of
our dinners had to be returned. Everyone asks how can you ruin a
breakfast. Well they did!
The staff were not friendly and everything you asked for seemed to be a
problem for them. The restaurant is very large but during our stay,
there were very few people. I would hate to see that restaurant in
operation if it were crouded.

We
booked specific balcony rooms and had them confirmed but when we went to
check in they had changed rooms on us. We argued with the check in desk
and after 15 minutes we eventually got the rooms we had booked.
Then we wanted to use the wireless internet they advertise we were told
there was a charge (in most other places it was free) and then after we
had agreed the charge we found we could not access the internet even
after several visits from the hotels IT genius - he could not explain
why it was not working.
The food in the pub was quite good but the room did leave a little to be
desired - the carpet was damp by the patio doors and the glasses in the
room were dirty. We did point this out but it took quite a while for
replacement glasses to arrive and we never got an apology about the
carpet.
My advice - stay at the Hilton

I
loved staying at the Sheraton Fallsview, my husband and I return once a
year to Niagara Falls and we always stay at the Sheraton. They are
always so friendly and the place is just so clean! I love knowing when I
slip into bed at night that I don't have to kick off half the blankets
because of what "might" be on them. The sheets smell so fresh!

We
stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview for 4 nights in October and stayed in
one of the fallsview rooms. I'll get through the whinges first. The
bathroom was badly designed and the shower more like a drizzle than a
'niagara falls'. There are 4 lifts but only 2 go to the top floors and
when the hotel is busy or a conference is on, you could be waiting for
anything up to 5 minutes for a lift. The food in the fallsview resturant
was terrible and the service slow, although Stanleys bar and the pizza
place was excellent. And a word of warning - don't open the closet door
unless all your party is in the room. The closet was so close to the
main door, I was nearly decapitated when someone came back to the room
and I had my head in the closet. (I only ended up with a minor cut
fortunately). Now the good part - the view. What a view. We sat for an
hour straight just gazing out of the floor/ceiling windows.
The rooms were oversize and comfortable and most nights we just lay in
bed watching the falls illuminated below us. Would definately stay here
again and if you do stay, spring for one of the top floor fallsview
rooms, you won't be disappointed.

The
"Sheraton on the Falls" is a much better choice if you are
going to stay in Niagara falls. I would not recomend this hotel to
anyone and I am a Starwood Platinum member. The "Sheraton on the
Falls" has been recently upgraded and the staff there is MUCH
better than at the "Fallsview". If you are a Starwood
Gold/Platinum member you will get much better service at the
"Sheraton on the Falls".

I
usually always stay in Sheratons when travelling as they are a lovely
hotel, however after staying at this Sheraton, I will never stay at a
Sheraton again. First off the hotel is under renovations and no one make
any referance to this when booking your reservation.
We got to the hotel about 6:00PM and was told by the front desk clerk
that our room was not ready yet, and would be ready in about 15-20
minutes. I found this kind of odd as we were there at 6, but ok, so we
went to the bar to have a drink. Well about an hour later and after no
one was coming to tell us our room was ready we went back to the front
desk. The same clerk was ther and said to us very snotingly "sorry
I forgot about you hum-ha" ya right whatever! She rudely gave us
our room key and pointed us to the direction of our room. We got to our
room and it was sheer dissappointment. We booked a fallsview room but
yet we had a lovely view of the Marriott hotel no falls. The room
smelled like mold, the wall have a yellow tinge to them which I hope was
not the hotels decorator tring to make them look old, however upon
further investigation it was from all the people who smoked in the room
(keep in mind this is a NON smoking room) the bathroom was discusting,
i've seen public washrooms that were cleaner. The bed linen had what
looked liked dry bloody spots on it, and to top it all off the TV did
not even work. I immediately called down to the front desk to change
rooms. And of coarse the same clerk rudely answered the telephone. I
explained to her that she must have made a misteke because we got the
horrible room. She simply said "no I didn't make no mistake, you
must have made a mistake when booking" which I know I did not
because I had a printed out confirmation stating what I had booked. She
argued with me for a few minutes until I hung up the phone to go stright
to the desk. I went down there with confirmation in hand and now she was
saying that that was not one of their confirmations (even though it had
the Sheraton logo on it). Well all in all I said I want a new room the
one I had was discusting, and according to her they did not have any
rooms left. Well that was the last draw we immediately checked out of
this bates motel and moved to the Marriott who actually has a view of
the falls. I will never ever stay at this hotel again, I would rather
sleep in my car then stay at this place. The hotel is dirty, the food is
awful, the staff is rude and uncaring to the guests needs. Save yourself
the headache and stay somewhere else, after our mess at the Sheraton we
went to the Marriott and they made everything better.

My
girlfriend and I stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview the weekend of March
31st and April 2nd. From the outside the hotel looks a bit rundown and
outdated compared to all the other 4 star hotels in the area which
looked much more elegant. There is still renovations going on in the
lobby but it looks close to being completed. We arrived at the hotel at
3:05 and were up in the room a minute later. Our fallsview suite on the
18th floor was great!! breathtaking view, clean, nice bathroom and
jacuzzi and very very very comfortable beds (every night we sleeped
about 10 hrs!)
The hotel service was great. We asked at the front desk for 2 champange
glass and they were up in the room within 2 mins!!. Staff is very
friendly and willing to assist and help you in any way!
Ok now for some advice. Park in the parking lot in the rear of the
hotel(its $10 compared to $20 and its only across the street!!). If you
plan on eating breakfast at the hotel I recommend that you eat at the
cafe in the lobby comparred to the restaurant on the second floor
(better food for half the price and alot less crowded!). Go and visit
Niagara on the Lake!! its a really nice little town right on lake
Ontario and is a nice short scenic drive. My girlfriend and I took a
nice stroll to the lake and down the Main strip and also did some wine
tasting at a few vinyards which was very nice. I thought that the
butterfly conservatory was pretty lame and a waste of money but my
girlfriend kinda liked it. The bird aviary I thouught was great!1 very
entertaining.
Oh and if you are willing to spend a few bucks on dinner i recommend the
Copacabana!! it was fantastic!!(If you like meat of course!!)

Stayed in an Executive Fallsview Room on the night of July 18, 2005.
Walking into our room towards the window made you feel like you
stepped into the scene of an awe-inspiring movie. The view was simply
amazing, and we were continually drawn to the floor to ceiling, wall
to wall windows. The hotel is 300 yards from the edge of the
Horse-shoe Falls, and one block from the new Fallsview Casino. The
hotel had an addition added on top a few years back. The newer higher
floor rooms (24 -31) have only 10 rooms per floor, all facing the
falls. The hallways on these floors have windows that overlook the
city. Floor 24 is the highest with a King bed. We opted to move from
our assigned 24th floor room to one with two queen beds on the top
(31st) floor. The rooms on the 24th floor look out over a portion (10
or more feet) of the 23rd floor's roof area before opening up to the
falls, which, for us, detracted a bit from the view. (The original
part of the hotel has rooms facing the city and rooms facing the falls
-- the result is the hotel is narrower at the top.) Overall, the view
from the hotel could not be beat.
The room looked and felt like it was almost brand new. It was well
decorated, with ceramic floor entry way and bathroom floors. A small
(empty) fridge and coffee maker with supplies are in the room for
guests.
We had dinner at the buffet in the Cut Above Steakhouse - formerly
known as the Fallsview Dining Room - on the second floor of the hotel.
It also has very nice views, and is a bit terraced to maximize the
overall effect, giving many tables a good view. For C$24.95 the buffet
was a good deal, with a salad bar, prime-rib roast beef carvery, many
main course and dessert choices. For that price, kids eat free with an
adult. We also opted to have the continental breakfast buffet
including juices and coffee -- C$11.95 (C$17.95 if you wanted the hot
items as well). Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.
We had excellent friendly and professional service from everyone we
dealt with -- front desk, restaurant staff, housekeeping.
Self-Parking in the hotel's lot was $23+tax/night. Includes in-out
privileges.
If you have not been to Niagara Falls Canada for a while, you will be
pleasantly surprised at how it has been spruced up. The walkways have
been fixed and the parks are meticulously cared for. There is a wealth
of fine restaurants to choose from. The tacky little places have been
replaced by fine hotels and casinos. The Galleria of shops attached to
the new Fallsview Casino is beautifully decorated. The old standbys -
including the Maid of the Mist boat ride (highly recommended) - are
still there for everyone to enjoy.
A couple of minor to-do's for the city to consider: The Parks
Commission really should add a walkway from the area around the
Sheraton/Marriott/Embassy Suites hotel area to allow people to walk
directly down to the Falls area. As it stands now, you either have to
take the inclined railway ($2 per ride for a 30second ride), or walk
over and around the new casino to go down to the Falls -- a nice walk,
but not necessary. Also, for safety sake, there should be
cross-walks/lights or more police controlling traffic, to allow people
to safely walk across the street to the Falls.
Other area attractions include the butterfly conservatory -- the
building is full of a whole range of butterflies that are extremely
active. It is a beautiful setting and kids and adults really enjoyed
this. Sir Adam Beck Power station tours are now available. Biking
along the Niagara River. A multitude of wineries in the area provide
tours and tastings.
The people of Niagara, Ontario, and Canada overall can be proud of
this world-class attraction not just the falls, but the whole package.
